On May 17, 2011, the 16th Student Scientific Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the academic year 2010-2011 was held.In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector of the University – emphasized: Scientific research activities by students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have become a tradition established and developed over many generations. Just last year, the entire university had 1000 students participating in scientific research with 600 reports. These are initial steps that help students gain confidence, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and accumulate expertise. Following the plenary session, the conference was divided into four subcommittees. In each subcommittee, lecturers and students listened to and discussed six of the most outstanding reports with diverse and rich content in different fields. This was also an opportunity for students to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and make scientific recommendations. The subcommittees generally assessed the majority of student research projects as high-quality, addressing a wide range of issues from theoretical and academic matters to specific, topical, and practical problems. As a result, 132 student authors of 82 scientific research projects received commendations from the Rector. Of these, 19 projects won first prize, 29 won second prize, and 34 won third prize.Download the list of first and second prize winners. In addition, seven groups with outstanding scientific research achievements also received certificates of commendation from the Rector.
