The workshop "Human Resources in the Information and Library Science Sector in Vietnam in the Face of the Requirements of Industrialization and Modernization of the Country" took place on April 24, 2009 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attendees included delegates from Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Hue University; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; the Central Institute of Medical Information and Library Science; and the Hanoi Library.

- The current state of human resources working in information and library agencies;
- The ability to meet the societal needs of the information and library human resource training sector;
- The role of information and library professionals in satisfying the information/documentation needs of information users;
- Solutions to improve the quality of human resources in information and library services.
