During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. The Rector emphasized the University's internationalization strategy, particularly strengthening English-language teaching programs, expanding cooperation with international partners, and promoting international publications. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed its desire to exchange and cooperate with RMIT International University in specific activities such as organizing joint seminars, student and faculty exchanges, etc. On a personal level, the Rector also invited Dr. Tan Boon Hwee to participate in seminars and social training courses organized by the University.
Dr. Tan Boon Hwee expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and for the invitation to participate in events organized by the University. Dr. Tan Boon Hwee also proposed additional areas of bilateral cooperation, such as co-publishing publications on Anthropology; organizing presentations with speakers who are scholars and researchers from RMIT University; and publishing joint scientific journals. He suggested signing a formal cooperation agreement between the two sides in the future.
Professor Pham Quang Minh agreed with the opinions of Dr. Tan Boon Hwee. The university is committed to completing the necessary procedures soon to sign the bilateral cooperation agreement. The Cooperation and Development Department will be the liaison between the two sides.
