Professor Lovell shared that this was his first visit to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The reason he chose the University to introduce the KoSASA (Korean Studies Association of South East Asia) scholarship program is because the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a member of a network of leading universities in Southeast Asia specializing in Korean studies. The University is also known as a leading institution for Korean studies in Vietnam.

Professor David Lovell is from the University of New South Wales (UNSW, Australia).
Professor David Lovell introduced the University of New South Wales (UNSW), located in Canberra, Australia, and the opportunities available to international students, especially Vietnamese students, when studying there. The University of New South Wales ranks 45th in the Quacquarelli Symonds world university rankings, with its Master of Business Administration program ranking in the top 100 globally. In Canberra, the university has four faculties: Business, Social Sciences and Humanities, Engineering & Informatics, Geography, Environment, and Mathematics, with 3,000 students and 400 staff members. Notably, research on Korea is one of UNSW's strengths.

Professor Lovell shared information on the application process and timelines for postgraduate programs at UNSW. Specifically, the application period for KoSASA is divided into two rounds: August 2018 and February 2019. Regarding language proficiency certificates, both IELTS and TOEFL are accepted. IELTS scores must be above 6.5, with no component score below 6.0. If using TOEFL, the average score across all skills must be 92/120, with a minimum writing score of 23 and scores above 22 in other skills.
In addition, Professor David Lovell also discussed with the university's faculty members various specific issues related to study conditions, selection criteria, and other considerations for applicants.
