At the meeting, Mr. Ma Hien Thanh expressed his joy when visiting and working with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He proposed that both sides jointly implement student training programs in various majors; organize short-term specialized and foreign language training courses. At the same time, Guangxi University for Nationalities wants to enhance academic exchanges and improve the qualifications and degrees of lecturers through master's and doctoral training programs at the University.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan agreed with the proposals of Mr. Ma Hien Thanh. The Vice President pledged that the University will create conditions for short-term internship and research activities of students and lecturers of Guangxi University for Nationalities. The similarities between Vietnamese and Chinese cultures are favorable conditions for cooperation. At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two schools agreed to soon implement specific plans in the coming time.

Guangxi University for Nationalities, formerly known as Guangxi Nationalities Academy, was founded in 1952. In 2005, the school was renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities; currently, there are 19 academies, 58 regular majors, and more than 19,000 students. This is one of two schools in Guangxi that offer Chinese language certification exams, and is one of the places with exchange scholarships between Vietnam and China. Some of the majors in Social Sciences and Humanities of Guangxi University are Chinese language and culture; foreign language and culture, Thai, Vietnamese, English, Lao, Politics and administrative studies; and law.
