Receiving and working with the delegation from Guangxi University for Nationalities (China)

During the meeting, Mr. Ma Xiancheng expressed his pleasure at visiting and working with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He proposed that the two sides jointly implement student training programs in various disciplines; organize short-term specialized and foreign language training courses. At the same time, Guangxi University of Nationalities wants to strengthen academic exchange and improve the qualifications and degrees of its lecturers through master's and doctoral training programs at the University.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan agreed with Mr. Ma Hien Thanh's proposals. The Vice Rector pledged that the University would create favorable conditions for short-term internships and research activities for students and lecturers of Guangxi Nationalities University. The similarities between Vietnamese and Chinese cultures are a favorable condition for cooperation. At the end of the meeting, representatives from both universities agreed to soon implement specific plans in the near future.

Guangxi University for Nationalities, formerly Guangxi Institute for Nationalities, was founded in 1952. In 2005, it was renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities. Currently, it has 19 colleges, 58 full-time majors, and over 19,000 students. It is one of only two universities in Guangxi that offers Chinese language proficiency certification exams and is one of the institutions providing scholarships for exchange programs between Vietnam and China. Some of the social science and humanities programs at Guangxi University include Chinese language and culture; foreign language and culture; Thai, Vietnamese, English, Lao; politics and public administration; and law.
