Signing of Memorandum of Understanding with National Dong Hwa University (Taiwan)

On March 19, 2018, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) signed a memorandum of understanding with representatives of National Dong Hwa University (Taiwan).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the cooperation of National Dong Hwa University. The President emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of only two universities in Vietnam with a Taiwan Education Center. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh hopes that the two sides will expand cooperation programs to many other fields besides Sociology. The closeness and cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Taiwan are advantages for cooperation.

Leaders of the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding

On behalf of the delegation, Prof. Dr. Han – Chieh Chao (President of Dong Hwa University) expressed his joy at the warm welcome of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He also invited the Board of Directors and students of the University to visit and experience the learning environment at National Dong Hwa University. He hoped that the cooperation process would promote the bond between the two universities in particular and the Vietnam – Taiwan relationship in general.

Next, the leaders of both sides signed a memorandum of understanding. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and National Dong Hwa University agreed to carry out the following activities:

- Encourage joint research activities.

- Invite lecturers to participate in lectures, conferences, seminars, workshops or other short-term activities.

- Exchange of information and periodic scientific publications in areas of common interest.

- Exchange of lecturers and students for study and research.

National Dong Hwa University was officially established in July 1994, and currently consists of 8 member schools offering 38 Bachelor's programs, 41 Master's programs and 16 Doctoral programs. The school's dormitory is considered the most spacious and spacious in the Taiwanese university system.
