Signed a memorandum of understanding with National Tung Hwa University (Taiwan).

On March 19, 2018, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) signed a memorandum of understanding with representatives of National Tung Hwa University (Taiwan).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the cooperation with National Tung Hwa University. The Rector emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of only two universities in Vietnam with a Taiwan Education Center. Professor Pham Quang Minh hoped that the two sides would expand cooperation programs to many other fields besides Sociology. The close cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Taiwan are an advantage for cooperation.

Leaders from both sides signed a memorandum of understanding.

On behalf of the delegation, Professor Han-Chieh Chao (President of National Tung Hwa University) expressed his pleasure at being warmly welcomed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He also invited the Board of Directors and students of the University to visit and experience the learning environment at National Tung Hwa University. He hoped that the cooperation process would promote closer ties between the two universities in particular and Vietnam-Taiwan relations in general.

Following this, representatives from both sides signed a memorandum of understanding. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and National Dong Hwa University agreed to carry out the following activities:

- Encourage collaborative research activities.

- Invite lecturers to participate in lectures, conferences, seminars, workshops, or other short-term activities.

- Regularly exchange information and scientific publications in areas of common interest.

- Exchange of faculty and students for learning and research purposes.

 

Professor Pham Quang Minh presents a commemorative gift to Professor Han-Chieh Chao.

National Tung Hwa University was officially established in July 1994 and currently comprises eight constituent colleges offering 38 undergraduate programs, 41 master's programs, and 16 doctoral programs. The university's dormitory complex is considered the most spacious and well-equipped among Taiwanese universities.
