On July 13, 2017, Associate Professor Dr. Le Quan led a delegation from VNU to visit and work with the University's Board of Directors on student affairs.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quan, Vice President of VNU is speaking.

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Le Quan, Vice President of VNU, introduced the online administrative management model of student affairs of the University of Technology to the University's Board of Directors. This is a model created by the University of Technology, supporting student affairs in the direction of level 3 administrative management: receiving online records, processing part online and returning results directly to students.

"If the University of Social Sciences and Humanities can apply this model, the one-stop administrative work that the Office of Student Affairs is implementing will reach a higher level; at the same time, exploit the technology development platform between schools in VNU. Accordingly, the University of Technology will research and build a model suitable to the requirements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities", Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quan shared.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quan, Vice President of VNU, also emphasized that if this activity is effectively implemented, the University will grasp all data from the time of entering the school, to graduation, working for outside units. This will greatly support student affairs in particular and the activities of the University in general.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Huong, Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs of VNU, speaks

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Van Huong, Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, shared that the project to innovate student affairs of VNU aims to care for and support students, considering students as "customers". The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a university with many bright spots in student affairs, therefore, VNU advocates connecting this work of the University with the initiative of the University of Technology, both as a pilot before expanding and aiming to further improve this work in practice.

Sharing at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University also agreed with the general policy of VNU on considering students as "customers". Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also gradually changing in the spirit of "service" - supporting students in their studies. Therefore, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs of the University is considered one of the very important departments, the face, the gateway that regularly works and contacts with students.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, speaks

"Currently, the School's Student Affairs Department has switched to a one-stop administrative model, making it convenient for students in related work. If research can apply science and technology to management activities, this work will certainly bring even more advantages," said Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of the Student Affairs Department of the University, also shared the needs and desires of the department for a software to support the student affairs of the University. Basically, the current staff of the department is fully qualified and capable of receiving technology transfer if any. However, the University also needs to pay attention to the feasibility of applying this software; about the difference between Humanities students and Technology students.

After the working session, the VNU delegation continued to survey and evaluate the student activities of the University.
