Next, Professor Ko Kwang Min from Hanyang University (South Korea)

On March 20, 2018, the Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Nghia, met and worked with Prof. Ko Kwang Min (Director of the International Training Institute, Hanyang University, South Korea) to discuss opportunities for future cooperation between the two universities.

Professor Ko Kwang Min shared information about Hanyang University: Founded in 1939, it ranked 155th on the QS World University Rankings in 2017 and is considered a leading private university in South Korea. The university has approximately 2,500 international students enrolled regularly. Its strengths lie in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese language programs. Professor Ko Kwang Min stated that Hanyang University values ​​international cooperation and hopes to welcome Vietnamese students to study there.

Associate Professor Tran Viet Nghia also introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: The university has over 300 foreign partners and trains more than 1,000 international students. The Faculty of Oriental Studies is a reputable institution for Korean language and culture training, and is a partner in providing Korean language training for Samsung employees in Vietnam. The university is also a partner of many Korean universities, implementing annual student exchange programs between Vietnam and Korea.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has a Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language with over half a century of experience in training in Vietnamese language and culture. Many ambassadors from various countries have studied here. Every year, the Faculty welcomes many foreign students from universities in China, Japan, and other countries to study short-term courses in Vietnamese. In recent years, the Faculty has offered undergraduate and master's degrees in Vietnamese Studies to a large number of foreign students.

In the near future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Hanyang University will proceed with signing a formal cooperation agreement, which will serve as the basis for implementing many specific collaborative activities in the fields of training and research.
