On November 22, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – held a meeting and working session with a delegation of officials from the Academy of Commerce of Yunnan University (China), led by Vice President Ha Phuc Toan.
On November 22, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – held a meeting and working session with a delegation of officials from the Academy of Commerce of Yunnan University (China), led by Vice President Ha Phuc Toan.During the meeting, leaders from both sides exchanged and discussed opportunities for future cooperation: faculty and student exchanges, research materials, and joint organization of seminars. Both sides agreed that next year the two universities will sign an agreement on short-term student exchanges, internships, and 3+1 partnerships. Furthermore, in the future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will send lecturers to teach Vietnamese at the Faculty of Foreign Languages - Academy of Commerce. The Academy of Commerce is an independent academy under Yunnan Normal University (China), established in 2000. Currently, the academy has 16,000 students with 31 undergraduate majors. The main majors offered are commerce, management, and some other majors in education and foreign languages. In 2012, the academy began enrolling and training its first cohort in the Vietnamese language major.
