Summer Youth Volunteer Program: Safe - Economical - Effective

On the morning of July 11, 2014, at the auditorium on the 5th floor of building H, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the launching ceremony for the 2014 Summer Volunteer Campaign for student volunteer teams going to remote areas. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu – Secretary of the University's Youth Union – presented the decisions establishing the student volunteer teams, while also boosting morale and expressing confidence in the volunteers. At the launching ceremony, MSc. Vu Xuan Trung – Head of the Outpatient Department, Vietnam National University Hospital, Hanoi – shared some essential medical knowledge for the summer volunteer program. In addition, the volunteers also listened to shared experiences from former team leaders of student volunteer teams from previous years. With the enthusiasm of youth, the volunteers responded to the launching ceremony with confidence, eagerness, and determination to fulfill their responsibilities as young people of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to the community.

This summer, three teams of student volunteers will be deployed to remote areas: Kien Dai commune (Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province), Khanh Thuong and Minh Quang communes (Ba Vi district, Hanoi city) with activities such as building youth projects, disseminating legal information, supporting labor and production, commemorating July 27th, organizing summer activities and cultural education for children, and organizing cultural and sports exchanges for young people. Hopefully, with their courage, responsibility, and determination, the youth of the Faculty of Humanities will create a meaningful and successful summer.
