During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated Professor Philippe Le Prestre's visit within the framework of a series of events leading up to the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Canada relations. Through an introduction to the main aspects of their training activities, the two universities discovered many similarities, especially in the fields of International Relations and Political Science.
Professor Philippe also shared information about his research and teaching activities at Laval University. Following this, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan extended an invitation for him to give guest lectures to students, as well as to engage in academic exchanges with faculty members of the International Studies and Political Science departments through workshops and seminars at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In particular, the University hopes that Professor Philippe and his delegation will visit later this year to discuss prospects for cooperation in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Canada relations.
In response to the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Philippe Le Prestre also proposed that the two sides sign a formal cooperation agreement to promote academic exchange and development in the future.

Laval University, located in Quebec City, Canada, was the first university in North America to teach in French. The university currently offers nearly 500 programs to over 42,500 students, including approximately 5,600 international students.
