Finals of the "USSH S-Star 2018 Humanistic Startup Ideas" competition.

On the afternoon of April 21, 2018, within the framework of the Youth Festival of the Faculty of Humanities, the final round of the "USSH S-STAR Humanities Startup Ideas" competition was successfully held at the Me Tri Dormitory. The final round was attended and supported by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University).

The "USSH S-STAR Humanities Startup Idea Competition" is an event organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to create a platform for students with entrepreneurial dreams. By participating in the competition, young people can find direction for their chosen path and experience the working environment of a real entrepreneur.

After more than a month of preparation and competition, the 8 best teams have passed the qualifying round and advanced to the finals. The startup ideas presented by the students mostly aim to support them, such as "Free part-time job search application for students: UNO" from the Human Resources Club – Faculty of Management Science; "Accommodation search support application" from the Student Volunteer Shock Team; "Online exam preparation application (My My)", "SBike idle motorbike rental service" from Hoang Dinh Tung - Hotel Management major, Faculty of Tourism Studies; and the Student Handbook (UNIVIE). In addition, several other ideas were highly appreciated by the judges, including the Fashion Design project (Shape of you), Link Seller and Marketer (Founder X), and the idea of ​​providing solutions for growing clean vegetables (Mam Xanh).

The judging panel included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Mr. Dang Thanh Dat (Head of the Startup Support Department, Knowledge Transfer and Startup Support Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and many entrepreneurs from large business corporations nationwide. The scoring criteria for the final round ideas were also professionally and meticulously developed, providing participants with practical experience of the startup environment they might encounter later.

Outstandingly surpassing 7 strong competitors in the final round, the "Free Part-Time Job Search Application for Students: UNO" developed by the Human Resources Club – Faculty of Management Science in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Technology – Hanoi University of Science and Technology won the first prize in the "USSH S-STAR 2018 Humanities Startup Ideas" competition. This is a smart part-time job search application that allows users to access and search for information on both their phones and websites.

The final round of the competition, held within the framework of the Youth Festival of Humanities, attracted the attention of many students in the school. The event contributed to spreading the entrepreneurial spirit and providing students with additional knowledge and skills for development in the 4.0 era.
