Photo exhibitions and film screenings about the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

On April 19, 2018, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the North Korean Embassy in Vietnam, organized a photo exhibition and film screening about the country and people of North Korea to commemorate the 106th birthday of the late President Kim Il-sung.

Speaking at the exhibition, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his pleasure in welcoming the North Korean Ambassador Kim Myong Gil and mentioned the long-standing diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and North Korea. The photo exhibition and film screening will be a good opportunity for teachers and students to learn about the country and people of North Korea.

In response to the sentiments expressed by the University, Ambassador Kim Myong Gil expressed his gratitude for the concern shown by all faculty, staff, and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities towards North Korea. He also shared information about the ideology and contributions of the late President Kim Il-sung to the Korean people; the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea; and the current and future development directions of North Korea.

Within the framework of the exhibition, many interesting and meaningful activities took place. With vivid photographs of North Korea and its people in the fields of economics, politics, education, and society, the exhibition received much attention and appreciation from the students at the school.

Following the opening ceremony, faculty and students watched the film "Pyongyang Today" and had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with the Ambassador on the topic of North Korea's country, culture, and people. The Ambassador expressed his hope that Vietnamese students would have more opportunities to visit and learn about North Korea in the future.

Currently, the governments of both countries are discussing ways to facilitate Vietnamese students' study and research in North Korea. In particular, the North Korean Ambassador and Rector Pham Quang Minh are also discussing plans for cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and leading universities in North Korea.

Following the film screening, the faculty and students of the university had the opportunity to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine prepared by the Ambassador's wife.
