After more than a month of competition, with sixteen exciting matches, the 2018 Four-Team Open Cup officially concluded with a captivating final between the defending champion K60 BC&TT and the guest team Homecare.
Despite their best efforts and dedication, K60 BC&TT had to stop short against a team considered superior in experience and technique. Homecare proved their strength by taking a 3-0 lead.

Immediately after the final match, the closing ceremony of the 2018 Four-Team Cup Open was held. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung (General Director of Homecare Real Estate Management Services Company); representatives from the sponsors LeBros Media Company, Iking Sport Co., Ltd., and Viet-Italian Investment and Production Trading Co., Ltd.; Dr. Nguyen Son Minh (Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication); Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hau (Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication); and a large number of students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Son Minh expressed his gratitude to the teams and sponsors who have supported the faculty's tournament. Dr. Nguyen Son Minh hoped that in the future, there would be more cooperation and support from media organizations and businesses for the activities of the Faculty of Broadcasting and Communication, contributing to the further development of the faculty's and the university's brand.

Representing the sponsor, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung shared his joy at participating in and supporting student movements: “We hope to participate even more, not only in sports movements but also in other activities of journalism students in particular, and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi in general. We wish the Four-Team Cup continued growth and success.”

The 2018 Four-Team Cup Open is the first tournament to expand its participation to include external media outlets and businesses. This opens up opportunities for students to interact and network with these entities, contributing to promoting and affirming the unique identity and brand of the faculty's students. Besides the captivating matches, images of the tournament and the Faculty of Broadcasting and Communication were broadcast on many mass media channels such as: VTV6's Digital Generation News with the title "Learning a profession through organizing sports events"https://bit.ly/2F3xYw0); on the online newspaper Lao Dong (https://bit.ly/2qKO1uq)and on many other websites such asvnbongda.vn;webthethao.vn... Over the course of more than a month, students from the Faculty of Broadcasting and Communication had the opportunity to hone their skills, evidenced by over 50 articles, 35 video clips, and 30 sets of accompanying photos posted on the faculty's and the university's websites and fan pages, as well as on the tournament's website and fanpage. In addition, there were workshops titled "I'm a Journalist" – sharing experiences of journalism careers from alumni on various content areas: camera skills; visual thinking and video production skills; headlines, lead paragraphs, and related topics. These workshops provided students of Journalism and Communication with authentic perspectives on life in journalism, and fostered relationships between alumni and new students. The training course helped students gain more confidence and motivation to develop their professional skills. |
