Receiving the delegation from Fudan University (China)

On August 22, 2019, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), along with representatives from the Faculty of Literature, the Training Department, the Research Management Department, and the Cooperation and Development Department, held a working meeting with a delegation from Fudan University (China) led by Professor Xu Zheng (Vice Rector).

During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan shared that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Fudan University have had a long-standing academic exchange relationship. To date, many faculty members and students from the University have participated in programs organized by Fudan University. The Vice Rector expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to promote cooperation in training, student and faculty exchange, and expand cooperation in scientific research and international publications.

Professor Xu Zheng expressed his gratitude for the warm and cordial welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He proposed several new collaborative activities, such as implementing a joint master's program in Public Administration; organizing the translation and publication of several works on social sciences in the scientific journals of both universities, particularly research related to the history and culture of China and Vietnam. Fudan University also invited experts from the University to participate in upcoming scientific conferences in Shanghai.

Following the meeting, officials from the functional departments of both universities continued to discuss in detail the possibilities of cooperation related to master's degree training and the publication of research papers.

Founded in 1905, Fudan University is located in Shanghai. It is a key university under the Ministry of Education of China. The university has developed into a research-oriented institution encompassing social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and biomedical sciences. Fudan University currently comprises 28 colleges and offers 70 undergraduate programs. It has over 30,000 students, including 13,200 undergraduates and 3,800 international students. It was one of the earliest universities in China to accept foreign students.
