As in previous years, the freshman orientation begins around 7 a.m. However, preparations begin a week in advance. The photo shows the seating area for parents, sheltered from rain and sun, with drinking water and fans readily available.

On the morning of August 23, 2019, students from the Journalism, High-Quality Journalism, Public Relations, Psychology, and Philosophy majors arrived for enrollment. The faces of the new students were beaming with joy.

The K64 cohort, largely composed of students born in 2001, is considered to be a young, dynamic, and confident group.

Tran Thi Hong Ngoc, a female student from Nghe An province who was admitted to the Journalism major and recently received a scholarship equivalent to four years of university tuition from Principal Pham Quang Minh, was also present this morning to complete the enrollment procedures at the school.

K64 impressed with many bright, youthful, and charismatic faces. Pictured is Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh - a new student majoring in Journalism.

Numerous introductory materials about the school, faculty, and study process have been prepared to provide new students with the necessary information for their studies.

Participating in the freshman welcoming process were enthusiastic student volunteers in their blue uniforms.

Many students shared that they saw a reflection of themselves from years ago in the new cohort: a little hesitant, a little reserved, but also cheerful and enthusiastic.

The admission process involves many steps, but this year's organization is considered scientific, and candidates were not confused.

The traditions of humanities students continue to be carried on and spread through today's encounters and connections between generations.

The school mobilized a large force of teachers from various departments and faculties to participate in the welcoming process.

CThe faculty members of the Training Department welcomed the students in their red uniforms. Many faculty members from the admissions department shared: "For a whole year, we've been advising, answering inbox messages, emails, hotline calls, and giving direct advice at high schools in various provinces. We've experienced firsthand the anxieties and concerns of students about choosing majors, careers, and schools. We always wish we could do more for them, answer more questions, and be there more readily to alleviate the worries of young people at this crucial stage of their lives."

And today, I'm so happy to see you all in person – those of you who have followed the University all year and are determined to choose the Faculty of Humanities as your place of study.

By the end of this morning, more than 500 students had completed the enrollment procedures, officially becoming students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi. The enrollment rate reached 100% of the target.

Immediately after enrollment, new students will go through an orientation week with many activities organized by the University, the Youth Union, and the Student Association specifically for the K64 cohort.

The enrollment scene was quite lively but still very orderly.

Each department has its own way of showing affection for its youngest cohort of students. It could be a handbook, an introductory brochure, or sometimes just a decorative picture on the wall or a whiteboard...

Joy was evident on the faces of the teachers at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training. This year, the Institute launched its first high-quality journalism program and received great interest from prospective students and the public. The high-quality journalism program achieved over 100% of its enrollment target.

The school and the teachers did everything they could to make the new students' first day of school a memorable one.

DREAM PINWHEEL - This is a lovely message from the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi to the K64 cohort, wishing them: vibrant and colorful like that pinwheel - unafraid to spin in the strong wind like that pinwheel, in search of what they love.

Although it was raining today, it couldn't dampen the emotions and joy of the new students as they arrived at school for the first time – marking an important starting point on their academic and career paths that will accompany them throughout their lives.

I love and cherish K64 - the cohort of students born in 2001: youthful, charismatic, confident, talented, and especially, with all their hearts, they love the humanities!
