Over 2000 new students of the 2019-X cohort have completed their enrollment procedures.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department of the University) said that to ensure a thorough welcome for new students, the University has established a welcoming committee with the participation of many functional departments and training units. The staff and students involved in the welcoming process have all received training. The teachers not only receive applications and handle procedures but also have the responsibility of advising students on various issues related to their studies. This year's welcoming rooms are arranged to be clean and spacious. For many years, the University's new student welcoming process has always been considered meticulous and effective.

Professor Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, congratulated the faculty of the Information and Library Science Department on a successful enrollment season. The Department offers two majors: Information and Library Science and Information Management. Notably, this year the Department launched its first high-quality Information Management program with a socialized orientation, which has received significant attention from applicants and the public.

Many freshmen of the K64 cohort shared different feelings on their first day of school. Vu Ngoc Minh Anh (Hanoi, with a total score of 23.30 in block D01, admitted to Journalism) said: "My mother is a journalist, so since I was little, I've been passionate about and loved journalism – a profession worthy of respect because it helps convey positive messages to contribute to social change. I myself enjoy communicating, participating in social activities, and I even joined the Photography Club in high school. And what's special is that my mother is also a former student of the K37 Journalism program at the university. I'm proud to continue my mother's work and to study at the very school where she had so many memories."

Ms. Kim Lien, Minh Anh's mother, also expressed her joy that her daughter was accepted into the Journalism program at the University. She shared her wish that both of her children would study at the University of Humanities, so that the whole family of four would be alumni, and then "if the University organizes any big anniversary celebrations, the whole family will be very happy to attend together."

Pham Nguyen Bao Anh (Hanoi, who scored 20 points in Block D and was admitted to the high-quality Journalism program) said: "I didn't have enough points to get into the standard Journalism program, so I enrolled in the high-quality Journalism program, even though the tuition fees are higher. For me, what's important is studying a major I enjoy."

Bui Thi Hai Anh (from Hai Phong, with a score of 24.25, admitted to Psychology) is a student with a disability. She shared her simple dream: "I hope the university environment will be harmonious and friendly, with many new friends to share and help each other grow. I will learn about student clubs at the school and courses on soft skills."

Bui Thi Hai Anh was brought to the school by her mother to complete the enrollment procedures for the Psychology major. She shared that she loved the school from the first time she came here. Her first impressions were that the school was old, charming, and the teachers were warm and approachable.

Hai Anh's mother, Pham Thi Thuy Vi, couldn't hide her emotion at having the opportunity to study at such a prestigious school. She shared: "This is my daughter's dream. She's already at a disadvantage compared to other students, so my only hope is that she achieves her aspiration of studying Psychology, without thinking too much about what she'll do in the future. Studying here means she'll have teachers to help her, and this field of study won't significantly affect her commute. I'm truly relieved."

Male student Le Dinh Dai demonstrates his love for Philosophy - a field of study that broadly addresses the issues and laws of life.

Le Dinh Dai, a male student from Nam Dinh, admitted to Philosophy with a total score of 18.05, in the D01 group, said: He chose Philosophy as his first choice because of his interests. He is interested in theoretical issues, and Philosophy requires a great ability to generalize problems and the laws of life. However, this young man is not a "bookworm" because he loves sports, especially football and Taekwondo, and once represented his high school in a provincial Taekwondo competition.

Tran Thi Hong Ngoc, a female student who recently received a scholarship equivalent to four years of university tuition from Principal Pham Quang Minh, arrived at the school to complete her enrollment procedures with overwhelming joy and emotion. Accompanying her was Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Principal of Nghi Loc 4 High School (Nghe An).

I would like to thank the teachers and the University for their help. This support makes me even more determined to strive in my studies. When my mother saw me off to Hanoi for enrollment, she was both happy and worried and told me: try your best to study well so as not to disappoint the help everyone has given you. I will quickly settle into life in Hanoi and find a part-time job right away."
