Based on the agreement signed between the two universities, the student group spent nearly two weeks studying Japanese language and traditional Japanese culture. Simultaneously, the group received support from teachers and students to visit historical sites and famous tourist attractions in the ancient city of Nara, the former capital Kyoto, and the city of Osaka. During their time at the university, the students also participated in exchanges with the Vietnamese language class at Nara Women's University. Students from the Japanese Studies Department had the opportunity to present reports in Japanese on topics of interest and conduct surveys and interviews in Nara. Topics such as marriage and part-time student employment were common concerns among young people regarding their lives and futures.

In addition, the Vietnamese student delegation spent about three days in Tokyo for cultural exchange and sightseeing. There, they received assistance from Senshu University – a long-standing partner university of the Department – regarding dormitory accommodation and sightseeing guidance. Senshu University also showed great interest in providing opportunities for the delegation members to meet with the university's administration and participate in the seminar "Research on Pre-Modern Japanese History in Vietnam" organized by the History Department. Despite their short time there, the Vietnamese students visited many famous landmarks in Tokyo.
