Organizing summer political training courses for lecturers of Political Theory and Political Education at universities and colleges in the South.

This activity is implemented in accordance with Guidance No. 66-HD/BTGTƯ dated June 6, 2018, of the Central Propaganda Department on the 2018 Summer Political Training for lecturers and teachers in the national education system and the introductory political activities for students; and Decision 2788/QĐ-BGDĐT dated August 2, 2018, of the Minister of Education and Training assigning the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to preside over and organize it.

Attending the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 summer political training course were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh (former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council), Ms. Dao Mai Phuong (Deputy Director of the Political Theory Department, Central Propaganda Department); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Anh Tuan (Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training), Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities). More than 500 political theory lecturers from universities, academies, and colleges that train teachers in the Southern region participated in the course.

After three days of work, the trainees listened to presentations from highly qualified political theory lecturers with experience in teaching and training in political theory, such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh (Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien (former Director of the Vietnam Institute of Economics, member of the Prime Minister's economic advisory team), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Dinh Phong (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics), Dr. Nguyen Thang (Director of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences), and Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), covering five topics with the following contents:

- The fundamental and core theoretical issues in the Resolution of the 7th Conference of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress.

- Implement political theory courses for specialized and non-specialized students in accordance with Conclusion 94-KL/TW.

- Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in building the working style and conduct of leaders, officials, and Party members.

- The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the challenges it presents.

- Report on key international, regional, and domestic developments in the first six months of 2018.
