Receiving the delegation of the Marxist Institute, Chongqing University (China)

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the School is one of the leading institutions in teaching and researching political theory and education in Vietnam. Under the direction and supervision of the Department of Political Theory (Central Propaganda Department) and the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), the School organized the 2018 summer political training course for political theory and political education lecturers of universities, academies and colleges from Ha Tinh province to the North. The Rector hopes that the School can cooperate with the Marxist Academy (Chongqing University) through practical activities such as organizing joint seminars and talks; exchanging students, lecturers, and postgraduates; and conducting joint research projects.

On behalf of the host country, Prof. Tieu Thiet Nham expressed his thanks for the warm welcome of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He said that the Marxist Institute (Chongqing University) would like to send graduate students to the University to exchange and learn; and at the same time, he hopes to welcome graduate students from the University to the Academy. In addition, the two sides can organize international conferences on areas of mutual interest. Based on the common cooperative relationship, he hopes that scholars from both sides can establish independent cooperative relationships.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the proposals of Prof. Tieu Thiet Nham. The Rector said that the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the University has many experts with extensive knowledge and experience in the subjects of Marxist-Leninist political theory as well as Ho Chi Minh Thought. Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create the best conditions for exchange activities and professional learning between the two sides.

Chongqing University was founded in 1929 and is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. The main training fields of the school include natural sciences, industry, agriculture, social sciences, economics, management, law, medicine, and education.
