The Rector expressed his joy and emotion at welcoming the alumni of the 23rd cohort of History students to visit the University. Introducing the current situation of the University, Professor Pham Quang Minh shared a lot of information: The University continues to maintain its position as a leading training center for social sciences and humanities nationwide. The University currently has 25 undergraduate programs, over 70 postgraduate programs, with 10,000 students and trainees across all systems, and more than 110 professors and associate professors among a total of over 500 staff members. The University has signed cooperation agreements with over 300 foreign partners and is strongly promoting its internationalization strategy in its areas of operation.

With the motto "Cherish the past, embrace the future," the school not only upholds the fine traditional values of the past 70 years but is also actively innovating and transforming itself to integrate with the world. The philosophy of liberal education permeates all activities: management thinking is shifting towards modern university governance; emphasizing a spirit of service, placing learners at the center; and fostering the creativity and initiative of the staff...

Professor Pham Quang Minh affirmed that the academic tradition from Hanoi University; the critical thinking and analytical approach to scientific research passed down by generations of leading scientists; and the spirit of overcoming difficulties forged during the war and bombing raids have contributed to the success of many generations of the University's alumni today. These distinctive features of the research and teaching tradition from Hanoi University have been continued and disseminated in the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities today.

Former students of the 23rd graduating class, returning after 40 years, expressed their emotion upon witnessing the new face of the university. Many names of teachers who were idols in the hearts of the university students back then were mentioned with respect and affection. Memories of studying amidst bombs and bullets, or students participating in local production activities, were recounted.

Above all, the alumni stated that the foundation of knowledge acquired at the former Hanoi University of Science and Technology contributed to shaping their worldview, philosophy of life, and career paths throughout their lives. The close bond between teachers and students, and the enduring friendships that have remained strong over the years, have become an unforgettable part of everyone's memories.

Each alumni is not only a product of the training that the University contributes to society, but they are also a valuable resource and the most reliable image ambassadors of the University. With that in mind, the Rector respectfully thanked the alumni for their affection and hoped to continue receiving their attention and support for the University's development in the future.
