During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan extended greetings to the delegation from the Center for Government and People Development Studies (CSISDS) of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Vice Rector stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has international relations with many Chinese partners, including universities in Guangxi such as Guangxi University, Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and Guangxi University for Nationalities. The university hopes to implement practical cooperation with its Chinese counterparts.
Ms. Thuong Na Hong expressed her honor to be present at a prestigious training institution in Vietnam such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She stated that the Center for Research and Development of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region visited Vietnamese universities to explore proposals and aspirations for economic, trade, and production cooperation. Furthermore, the Center wished to exchange views on the establishment of an economic cooperation zone between Dongxing, China, and Mong Cai, Vietnam, based on opinions regarding import and export policies. She proposed that both sides jointly organize scientific seminars and workshops on the aforementioned topics.
Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated Ms. Thuong Na Hong's ideas for cooperation. The Vice Rector shared that the university is ready to send experts and researchers in economics and policy to participate in academic events. These activities will contribute to providing ideas and recommendations for economic cooperation between Guangxi and the northern provinces of Vietnam. The similarities between the two sides and the two countries are a good foundation for promoting bilateral cooperation.


The Center for Government and People Development Research is a government agency under the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its functions include market research, proposing comprehensive and holistic policies and strategies for the expansion, reform, and socio-economic development of the entire region; understanding and addressing the advantages and disadvantages of socio-economic development between the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and other countries; researching economic development models in the region; and providing input on government and Party Committee policies.
