During the meeting, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its status as a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. The university currently has approximately 12,000 students across all programs, 16 faculties, and 12 research centers, with international relations with over 200 universities worldwide. The university is eager to expand cooperation with foreign universities and research institutions. Therefore, with Azerbaijan, the university hopes to have the opportunity to learn from Azerbaijani society and culture, as well as establish Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies programs at some universities or research and training institutions in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Anar Lachin O Imanov stated that educational cooperation between Vietnam and Azerbaijan has a long history. Many leaders from Vietnamese ministries, departments, and large companies, such as Vietnam Petro, have studied in Azerbaijan. Therefore, he expressed his delight at the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and hoped to welcome officials and lecturers from Vietnam to visit and work at universities in Azerbaijan. He also wished to send teachers from Azerbaijani universities to Vietnam to teach and conduct research on Azerbaijan and its language. Finally, Ambassador Anar Lachin O Imanov proposed organizing an Azerbaijani Culture Day at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in October to showcase the country's culture and art. This would be a significant event to introduce Azerbaijani culture to a wider Vietnamese audience.

It is understood that the newly appointed Ambassador Imanov of Azerbaijan is the first Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam and has pledged to do his utmost to foster friendship between the two countries.
