During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh mentioned the cooperation agreement that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had signed with Moscow State University of Linguistics during the visit of a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Party and Government to Russia from September 5-12 in 2018. Based on this important foundation, the University hopes to implement practical cooperation with Moscow State University of Linguistics through activities such as student exchanges in linguistics, history, culture, especially Vietnamese studies. The Rector affirmed that the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language of the University is a leading institution that the Russian side can trust.
In response, Professor Irina Kraeva expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She stated that Moscow State University hopes to increase the number of students studying Vietnamese Studies from 10 to 30 in the near future. Therefore, the need for more experts and Vietnamese language teachers is very high. Initially, in the second semester, they will send five students to study Vietnamese Studies and the Vietnamese language at the University. Furthermore, she extended an invitation to Professor Pham Quang Minh and the University staff to attend the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Moscow State University (1930-2020) next year.

Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the trust placed in him by the Russian side and stated that the university also wishes to send students to study languages in Russia. Following last year's visit, the Rector had a very positive impression of Moscow State University, as one of the top universities in the Russian Federation for language training. In the distant future, the two sides could expand cooperation in training not only in Vietnamese and Russian but also in other languages around the world.

The Moscow State University of Linguistics (MSLU) was founded in 1930 as the Moscow Institute of New Languages. MSLU underwent a long period of development until it adopted its current name in 1990. MSLU offers courses in 36 languages and has 11 affiliated units: the Faculty of English; the Faculty of Humanities and Applied Sciences; the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation; the Faculty of German; the Faculty of French; the Faculty of Distance Education; the Faculty of Military Education; the Faculty of Education for Foreign Citizens; the Faculty of Advanced Training for Faculty Members; the Institute of Law, Economics and Information Management; and the Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Studies.
