Meeting and working with the 3rd Secretary of the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) emphasized that the University has a close cooperative relationship with the Iranian Embassy, ​​as well as a long history of training and research on this country. The University wishes to continue cooperating with the Iranian Embassy in activities such as maintaining and developing the Iran Department, training high-level human resources in Iran studies, and publishing international research on Iran and its people. The University also hopes to expand its relationship with Iranian universities, notably Tehran University.

In response, Mr. Mahdi Farazi thanked the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for its warm welcome. He stated that the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam is ready to assist the University in connecting with Iranian universities, supporting the organization of international conferences, sending lecturers and scholars from Iran to attend conferences organized by the University, and providing scholarships for students and trainees. In particular, he invited Professor Pham Quang Minh to participate in the subcommittee on “Cultural Dialogue between Iran and East and Southeast Asia: Cultural and Historical Connections” within the framework of the International Conference on “Cultural Diversity and Cooperation in Asia” taking place from January 13-15 in Tehran. The conference will be attended by many renowned scholars and cultural researchers, with the goal of enhancing cultural understanding and eliminating threats from extremism in the region. The Rector of the University happily accepted the invitation.

Mahdi Farazi is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies in Tehran.
