Receive and work with the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Iran in Vietnam

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU) emphasized that the University has a close cooperative relationship with the Iranian Embassy, ​​as well as a long history of training and research on this country. The University wants to continue to cooperate with the Iranian Embassy in activities such as maintaining and developing the Iran Department, training highly qualified human resources in Iran studies, and publishing international research on the country and people of Iran. The University also hopes to expand relations with Iranian universities, typically the University of Tehran.

In response, Mr. Mahdi Farazi thanked the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for its warm welcome. He said that the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam is ready to help the University connect with Iranian universities, support the organization of international conferences, send lecturers and scholars from Iran to attend conferences organized by the University, and sponsor scholarships for students and trainees of the University. In particular, he invited Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh to attend the subcommittee "Cultural Dialogue between Iran and East and Southeast Asia: Cultural and Historical Connections" within the framework of the International Conference on "Cultural Diversity and Asian Cooperation" taking place on January 13-15 in Tehran. The conference will have the participation of many famous scholars and cultural researchers, with the goal of enhancing cultural understanding and eliminating threats from extremism in the region. The University's President happily accepted the invitation.

Mr. Mahdi Farazi is a Research Fellow at the Middle East Institute for Strategic Studies. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies in Tehran. His main research interests are international relations in the Middle East and Chinese foreign policy. He has participated in numerous international conferences and published several articles in Persian, focusing on topics such as the rise of China in the Middle East, China and the Arab Spring, etc.
