Receiving the delegation of the Marxist Institute, Nanning Normal University (China)

Recently, the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Chinese side, organized a 3-month course (October 28, 2019 - January 28, 2020) on Marxism for 9 Chinese students. The Chinese students studied the basic theory of Marxism, referring to the experiences and teaching methods of this subject of the University. In addition to listening to lectures in class, there were also field trips to historical sites and scenic spots to learn about the country and people of Vietnam. Lecturers from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities were in charge of teaching throughout the course.

At the reception, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan and Professor Zheng Linghui both highly appreciated the joint training course that the two sides co-organized. They also discussed the possibility of new cooperation in areas such as: expanding the joint training program for Master's degrees in Marxist Theory Research; conducting student exchanges in programs approved by the governments of both sides; co-organizing international scientific conferences on Marxist Theory Research; establishing a management unit for cooperation and exchange called the Center for Development Cooperation of the Marxist Institute between the two universities.

Nanning Normal University was founded in 1953 in Nanning City, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The number of students studying at the school is about 17,000, and the number of postgraduates is about 1,500. Majors cover more than 10 faculties: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, physics, engineering, management, and art. Of which, regular university majors are up to 66 majors.
