On behalf of the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, Mr. Kawai Jun expressed his gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for its long-standing cooperation over the years. The University and the Center have jointly promoted research and training on Japan through the Department of Japanese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies), and co-organized activities introducing Japanese culture in Vietnam. Many graduates from the University are currently interning or working at the Center. According to Mr. Kawai Jun, this confirms that the Department of Japanese Studies is a reputable institution for training and research on Japan in Vietnam.
In response, Professor Nguyen Van Kim highly appreciated the Center's sponsorship and assistance since 2012. The collaborative programs have been highly effective, helping to disseminate knowledge and foster a passion for Japan among the university's students. Several faculty members have also received funding from the Center to work in Japan. In the future, the university hopes that the cooperation between the two sides will be expanded and deepened further. Initially, the two sides plan a lecture project on the study of Japanese history in the modern era and the publication of a collection of lectures on Japanese studies with the theme "Gender and Law".
