On behalf of the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, Mr. Kawai Jun expressed his gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for their long-term cooperation over the years. The University has worked with the Center to promote research and training on Japan through the Department of Japanese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies), and co-organized activities to introduce the culture of the land of cherry blossoms in Vietnam. Many graduates from the University are interning and working at the Center. According to Mr. Kawai Jun, this affirms that the Department of Japanese Studies is a prestigious institution in training and research on the land of the rising sun in Vietnam.
In response, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim highly appreciated the sponsorship and support of the Center since 2012. The cooperation programs have been highly effective, helping to disseminate knowledge and foster passion for Japan among the University's students. Some of the University's staff and lecturers have also received funding from the Center to work in Japan. In the future, the University hopes that bilateral cooperation will be expanded and deepened further. In the immediate future, the two sides are planning a project for a specialized lecture on Japanese Historical Studies in the New Era, publishing a collection of Specialized Lectures on Japanese Studies with the topic "Gender and Law".
