At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim sent his greetings to the delegation from the Institute of Marxism, Xi'an University of Electronics. The Vice President said that as a university focusing on basic research, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities places great priority on training in political and theoretical subjects as well as Marxist subjects. Many politicians and statesmen in Vietnam have graduated from the training cradle of the University. In addition, among the University's partners, Chinese partners account for the majority and this also reflects the strong development in the relationship between Vietnam and China.
Following Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) proposed forms of cooperation between the two sides such as organizing joint international conferences; exchanging scholars and researchers; and exchanging and interacting with students. The Faculty of Philosophy wishes to share teaching and research experiences on theoretical issues and principles of Marxism; as well as learn more about the history of Chinese philosophy, especially modern philosophy.
On behalf of the Chinese side, Mr. Liu Jianwei said that from July 29 to August 5, 28 students from the Marxist Academy, Xi'an University of Electronics attended the course "Research and exchange on Marxism-Leninism" and had a very good impression of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Therefore, the Academy hopes to learn and exchange more about the experience of teaching Marxist theory subjects; as well as learn about the similarities and differences between the Communist Party of Vietnam and China. Mr. Liu Jianwei agreed with the proposals of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung, and committed to reporting to his superiors about specific cooperation ideas with the School's Philosophy Department.
Located in Xi'an City, China, Xi'an University of Electronics was founded in 1955 and officially granted university status in 1966. The school has trained 20,000 undergraduates, 10,000 postgraduates and 120 generals. The school is ranked 40th in the Chinese university rankings. The school specializes in science, technology, law, information, literature, and is especially the most prestigious aviation school in China.
