Receiving delegation from Kasetsart University (Thailand)

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. As the leading research and training institution in Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam, the University currently has 24 undergraduate training programs, 41 master training programs and 31 doctoral programs, more than 10,000 students and more than 500 staff. Regarding international cooperation, the University has signed cooperation agreements with more than 300 foreign partners, including some Thai partners such as Burapha University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University... The Vice President hopes that the University will soon cooperate with Kasetsart University.

On behalf of Kasetsart University, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the USSH. He said that the two sides have some similarities in training and research programs. At Kasetsart University, there are units such as the Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities at Bangkhen campus; Faculty of Education and Liberal Sciences at Kamphaeng Saen campus; Faculty of Liberal Education and Management Sciences at Chalermphrakiat Sakhon Nakhon province campus. He proposed that the two sides sign an official memorandum of cooperation, which will serve as a basis for activities such as student and lecturer exchanges; organizing joint scientific seminars; and conducting joint scientific research.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the sharing and suggestions of Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, and committed to quickly implementing the signing of the cooperation memorandum. According to the Vice President, the progress of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand is also a favorable condition for cooperation between the two schools.

Established in 1943, Kasetsart University is the first agricultural university and one of the three oldest universities in Thailand. It has five campuses, including the main campus in Bangkok. Its academic programs include economics, business administration, engineering, social sciences, humanities, education, and architecture.
