Opening the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh issued a call to action: "Build a truly humane university environment." This was also the first time he had directly participated in leading a briefing meeting of the Youth Union and Student Association of the university. According to him, "a truly humane environment" begins with simple things like speech, attire, and behavior...

The meeting continued with directives from the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Student Association. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu – Secretary of the Youth Union and Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Lan – President of the Student Association successively guided the units in summarizing the activities of the Youth Union and Student Association and the youth and student movement in the 2014-2015 academic year, and at the same time, continued to encourage all union members and students in the school to seriously participate in the exam.

Next, Comrade Tran Bach Hieu presented the plan for organizing the 2015 volunteer campaign. The highlight of this year's volunteer activities lies in the model of volunteering in local areas. Specifically, under the direction of the Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association of the university selected two volunteer locations in Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province and Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province. These are two localities where the faculty and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the predecessor of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, evacuated during the years of the resistance war against the US. This volunteer trip, with its "returning to the roots" meaning, is part of a series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary and 20th anniversary of the founding of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

A new issue that the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association of the university is focusing on is the accelerated preparation for the official launch of the website tuoitrenhanvan.com. This is a long-held plan of the Youth Union and Student Association, which has experienced several unsuccessful attempts, but this time with determination and careful investment in both personnel and funding. The Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association also calls for cooperation from the student branches and student associations to build a responsible and enthusiastic team of collaborators. When launched, the website will represent the image and voice of the university's youth – something we haven't truly achieved before. The website is expected to be operational around mid-June.

The "Summer Farewell 2015" program was also a hotly debated topic. As an annual event organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the university, "Summer Farewell" is a program to express gratitude and bid farewell to graduating students. This year, the program has been expanded in scale with attractive content such as a Graduation Gala, the "Don't Let the Money Fall" game show, etc. Discussions revolved around the timing of the event. Students wondered if holding it on June 19, 2015 would be able to gather the K56 cohort. However, the representative of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Tran Duc Hoa - Member of the Standing Committee of the University's Youth Union, Vice President of the University's Student Association - affirmed: The program represents the great affection and effort from the Organizing Committee to send to the graduating students.
