Third Conference of Outstanding Exemplars

The conference aimed to summarize and evaluate the patriotic emulation movement during the 2010-2015 period, and to set forth directions and tasks to promote the patriotic movement during the 2015-2020 period, as well as to commend outstanding exemplary individuals.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – the Rector – presented a report summarizing the emulation and reward activities for the period 2010-2015 and outlining the direction for this movement in the period 2015-2020. He emphasized that in the next five years, the tasks set for the school are immense, requiring teachers and students throughout the school to strive continuously and focus on promoting emulation in all activities to excellently fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and society.

At the Conference, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh awarded certificates of merit to 28 exemplary units and 28 outstanding individuals for the period 2010-2015. The Conference also heard presentations and reports on the achievements of units and individuals in the emulation movement over the past five years, including representatives from the History Department, the Linguistics Department, the Political and Student Affairs Office, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Thu Huong (Sociology Department), and student Vu Trung Hien (K56 Social Work).

Dr. Pham Van Thanh – Vice Chairman in charge of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Education and Training – highly appreciated the achievements of the staff and faculty of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. At the same time, Dr. Pham Van Thanh also requested the University's emulation and reward department to pay attention to and propose to the Rector and the Emulation and Reward Council to reward teachers who are in difficult circumstances but are dedicated and complete the work assigned by the University and superiors, and to reward students who are in difficult circumstances but overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

The conference also launched an emulation movement to celebrate the 2015 National Emulation Congress of the Education Sector, and initiated the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2015-2020.

Professor Nguyen Van Khanh presented certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and individuals for the period 2010-2015.
