Rector Hoang Anh Tuan has been appointed as an ex officio member of the Hanoi National University Council.

On October 4, 2021, the VNU Council issued Decisions No. 2928/QD-HD, 2929/QD-HD, and 2930/QD-HD regarding the dismissal and appointment of VNU Council members as follows:

- Decision No. 2928/QD-HDOn October 4, 2021, a decision was made regarding the dismissal of Mr. Pham Quang Minh, former Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, from his position as a member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Council for the 2018-2023 term. This decision is effective from the date of signing.

- Decision No.2929/QD-HDOn October 4, 2021, regarding the appointment of Mr. Le Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as an ex-officio member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Council for the 2018-2023 term. This decision is effective from the date of signing.

- Decision No.2930/QD-HDOn October 4, 2021, regarding the appointment of Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as an ex-officio member of the VNU Council for the 2018-2023 term. This decision is effective from the date of signing.
