2023: Implement KPIs across all areas of the school's operations.

This was the central point emphasized by Rector Hoang Anh Tuan in his concluding remarks at the meeting of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) held on February 6, 2023. Attending the meeting were the Vice Rectors, Secretaries of Party branches, Heads and Deputy Heads in charge of training and quality assurance of affiliated units, and leaders of mass organizations.

Overview of the Conference
In his opening remarks at the conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan highlighted several achievements in the first month of 2023: despite the long New Year and Lunar New Year holidays in January, all aspects of the school's operations were carried out according to plan with urgency and efficiency. All staff and faculty members celebrated the holidays safely and warmly, in compliance with government regulations.

Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong shared and emphasized several activities that need to be completed in February and the first quarter of 2023 regarding training and quality assurance.

Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong reminded the units to strictly adhere to regulations regarding the organization of international conferences and seminars, faculty exchange programs; and the plan for student scientific research in 2023 at the Faculty/Department level.

Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh discussed the following topics: the progress of implementing administrative management software; reviewing facilities, equipment, and the wifi system; and the plan for renovating and repairing the facade of Building A.

Head of Training Department Bui Thanh Nam discussed in detail the training plan and key activities in student recruitment that need to be intensified in the coming period.
 
After hearing the opinions of the Vice-Rectors and the discussions of the various units and functional departments, the Rector concluded the activity plan for February and emphasized several key areas of work for 2023:
* Organization and personnel:
- Assign the Personnel and Organization Department as the focal point to advise and propose to the Board of Directors on the plan for building and establishing the School Council in a way that "absolutely ensures the stability and development of the School" (expected at the end of Q2, beginning of Q3 2023); review and evaluate the operation of the training institute model, and advise and propose to the Board of Directors to implement upgrades in some other units.
- Continue implementing policies to attract highly qualified personnel to work at the School; Organize political theory training courses to enable staff and employees to meet the requirements and standards for their positions and management roles.
* Train:
- The Training Department is assigned as the focal point for disseminating information and guidance to faculty and students of the university regarding new points in the training regulations.
- Proactively promote communication about the school's majors and training programs; continue to develop training programs according to economic and technical standards as outlined in the roadmap.
- The Training Department is tasked with compiling statistics and preparing an accurate appendix detailing the number of students with foreign language proficiency certificates as a graduation requirement, out of the total number of students requiring such certificates, for reporting at the next monthly University meeting; developing a plan to support students in their studies, preparation, and examinations; and encouraging students to participate in the foreign language proficiency certificate exam organized by the University of Foreign Languages ​​(VNU) for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the near future.
- Accelerate and expedite the development and expansion of new industries.
* Cooperation and Development:
- Strengthen and substantively enhance international cooperation relationships, develop specific solutions to attract long-term/short-term students, and achieve the target of 1050 international students studying at the School and 15 faculty members undertaking internships abroad for 3-6 months as assigned.
- Strictly and thoroughly implement State regulations on entry and exit of international officials and students, while promoting cooperation with localities, businesses, and domestic partners in a substantive and effective manner.
* Other tasks: Implement the work plan for February 2023 and the issued academic year plan, focusing on deploying the VNU-Office document management and operational software to all units; review and reorganize to increase and optimize space and facilities; focus on ensuring the progress of program accreditation according to the set roadmap, and build a culture of continuous and consistent quality;...
