So how do KPIs affect employee motivation? According to Dr. Bui Quoc Anh, the set targets help create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, encouraging employees to dedicate themselves fully for their own benefit, and helping employees clearly visualize their work and responsibilities. At the same time, it helps employees gain an overall view of work goals, identify important tasks, and prioritize them to achieve those goals; it helps employees self-monitor their work performance, easily achieve goals, and detect shortcomings for timely improvement. In addition, KPIs will help employees increase their motivation to work, leading to higher salaries and bonuses, and enabling them to quickly and effectively complete assigned tasks.
