On December 18, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held the "2024 Outstanding Young People Award Ceremony at the Institutional Level" to commend, recognize, and honor young staff members, students, and trainees who have achieved outstanding results in the emulation movement of learning, teaching, scientific research, administrative work, and community service.
Attending the awards ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University; heads of departments; the Secretary of the University's Youth Union; and 196 outstanding young people at the grassroots level in 2024, including 9 staff members, 160 students, 26 high school students from the Specialized High School, and 1 postgraduate student.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong extends her warmest congratulations to the 196 staff members, lecturers, students, and pupils who have been nominated by their respective units to become the Outstanding Young Faces of the entire university in 2024. Their outstanding achievements in academics, teaching, scientific research, administrative work, and community service significantly contribute to affirming the university's position and reputation on the national higher education map, while also bringing practical value to the community and society.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector, warmly congratulated the honored staff, lecturers, students, and trainees.
The outstanding young cadres nominated, selected, and introduced from various units are based on very strict and thorough criteria. These are cadres and lecturers under the age of 35, possessing good political and moral qualities, a healthy lifestyle, and who have excellently fulfilled their duties. They must also have outstanding achievements and results, such as innovative initiatives in management and administration; innovative teaching methods with high application effectiveness that contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning; outstanding international publications representative of the unit; or excellent results in scientific research. Furthermore, they must actively participate in social and community activities in leadership or key positions, and in activities that create a significant social impact.
For students and trainees, the requirements include excellent academic and training results, effective participation in social and community activities, high achievements in regional and international Olympic competitions, and first prizes in national student excellence competitions, national Olympic competitions, and competitions in technology, sports, and entrepreneurship at the ministerial or sectoral level.
Student Doan Mai Duong (Faculty of Tourism Studies), representing the Outstanding Young Faces of VNU-USSH 2024, delivered a speech expressing her pride, honor, and determination to strive in her studies and contributions to live up to the recognition and attention of the University and her teachers.
Among the 196 faculty members, students, and pupils honored today, one faculty member, Dr. Le Thi Tuan (lecturer in the Faculty of Literature), and To Hoang Vi Anh (11th grade Literature student at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities) were honored as Outstanding Young Faces of Hanoi National University for their exceptionally outstanding achievements.
Once again, congratulations and honor to the faculty, staff, students, and pupils who have received the title of Outstanding Young Face of VNU-USSH in 2024. We wish all teachers, students, and pupils good health and continued success in contributing to the overall achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
