The Prime Minister has appointed Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong to the position of Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - has been appointed Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Dr. Dao Thanh Truong holds a high-level theoretical qualification and a PhD in Sociology (2010) from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi). He was appointed Associate Professor of Sociology in 2016. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong is an expert in policy research and analysis; science, technology, and innovation management. For his contributions to training and developing human resources in science and technology management, and to building and developing postgraduate training programs in science and technology management in Vietnam, he received the "For the Cause of Science and Technology" Commemorative Medal from the Ministry of Science and Technology (2017) and a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister (2020).
Mr. Dao Thanh Truong has held many important leadership and management positions such as: Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management, Head of the Faculty of Management Science, Director of the Institute of Policy and Management (Key Research Center of VNU Hanoi); Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi and Head of the Executive Board of the Scientists' Club, VNU Hanoi.
