USSH's outstanding young faces hope to promote Vietnamese culture and people through tourism.

Pursue orientation early
Thanks to the encouragement of his high school homeroom teacher, the support of his family and the recognition of his own future potential, Anh Tu decided on his major early on and was steadfast in his choice.

The senior student said: “When choosing my university admission wishes after the high school exam, I registered for 4 wishes, all of which were in the Hotel Management major. Luckily, I passed my first wish and studied at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH).”
With enthusiasm and a desire to learn, Anh Tu has grown more mature every day thanks to the knowledge accumulated at university. Not only has he gained more skills and knowledge about society and nature, this is also a scientific environment that helps him practice his thinking ability. "In particular, scientific thinking has helped me improve my professional thinking." - the male student emphasized.

After nearly 4 years of studying and training, Anh Tu has taken on a leadership role and held a key position in the Youth Union - Association in the Youth Union - Association of the Faculty of Tourism. Aware of his own responsibility, the male student has constantly strived to lead the student movement of the faculty, creating many activities and playgrounds for students to integrate, practice, develop skills, and accumulate experience for themselves.

Having the opportunity to participate in the “Vietnam - Japan Student Exchange Program at Rikkyo University, Japan” has given Anh Tu many valuable experiences. The male student confided: “This is the first time I have set foot in another country to study and exchange culture in the beautiful Land of Cherry Blossoms. This is also an opportunity for me and the student group to promote the beauty and people of Vietnam to international friends.”
Outstanding young faces at grassroots level in 2023
As a testament to his efforts, Anh Tu recently won the title of Outstanding Young Face at the 2023 grassroots level of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Sharing his feelings when receiving the prestigious award, the male student was moved: “The moment my name was called, I was extremely proud. For me personally as well as all students, the title of Outstanding Young Face of the whole school is an honor and a noble title. This is not only a recognition and commendation of good learning and training results, but also a motivation for generations of students of the school to continue to participate in more activities that are beneficial to the community and society.”

Thanks to the companionship, support and solidarity of the School, teachers and senior students, Anh Tu has conquered his own goals. This noble title is an encouragement and a reminder for him to try harder in studying, training and establishing a career to be worthy of the trust of the School and teachers.

To master professional knowledge and practical working ability, Anh Tu often optimizes his time to experience working at hotels to accumulate the most intuitive knowledge. In addition, he said he also works part-time at a technology company, through which the male student has gathered a lot of knowledge about technology and seen new directions in combining technology - tourism."

To achieve maximum efficiency in all work, Anh Tu always upholds, maintains and promotes the quality of "attitude". With a serious learning attitude, eagerness to learn, and active participation in Union - Association activities, knowing how to respect superiors and be humble with subordinates, the male student has achieved many outstanding achievements: Receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association for his contributions to the Association and student movement in the 2022-2023 school year; Achieving the title of 5 Good Students at Hanoi National University in the 2022-2023 school year,...

The male student emphasized: “When you have a good attitude, you can still be positive and confident in any situation or circumstance. However, “Ripe rice bows its head” – not because of the achievements you have achieved, you are allowed to be arrogant and stop trying. During the remaining time at university, I will strive to improve my shortcomings to continue to contribute my youth to the Youth Union and Association movements, conquer my passion and be able to contribute my intelligence to the development of my hometown’s tourism.”
As a final year student, although he no longer plays a key role in the Youth Union, Anh Tu always closely follows and supports the activities and movements organized by the faculty and the school. For him, studying is very important, but if he only focuses on "studying history" and forgets his role as a youth, who needs to contribute his youth to the community and society, then this youth is not truly complete.
