Assert yourself through being "different".
Being an energetic person, Kim Anh actively participated in extracurricular activities from her early years in school. However, the young student faced many obstacles and felt insecure due to her average academic performance. She was even listed among the "rebellious students" of her class because of her playful nature and rebellious personality.

“I was on a downward spiral, and it wasn't until the end of 11th grade that I realized what I truly wanted. My goal at that time was to get into university, and specifically a top-tier school. Many people said that with my academic abilities, just passing the graduation exam would be a great achievement. To turn things around, I had to study intensely to compensate for the knowledge gaps. I cried many times because I felt helpless and even considered giving up. Honestly, that was a time of crisis for me,” Kim Anh recalled.

Family is the most important source of motivation that helped this female student achieve her current success. Thanks to the encouragement and support of her parents, she persevered in her studies and improved her grades. Fortunately, luck smiled upon her, and she was admitted to the major and university she had long dreamed of. With a social inclination and a love for Literature, Kim Anh decided to choose the Literature department as her destination, entrusting her dreams and aspirations and dedicating her youth to it.

Like most students, Kim Anh harbored fears and had never considered participating in scientific research. Thanks to encouragement from her literature professors and family, she overcame her self-doubt and decided to participate in scientific research with all her energy.

“I learned to love and be passionate about scientific research in the same way I dedicate myself and live life to the fullest with the Youth Union and Student Association movements. Just like the saying, ‘If you truly desire something, the universe will help you achieve it,’ I persevered with scientific research for over half a year.”
However, I encountered considerable difficulties in researching the topic, searching for materials, and understanding the nature of newspapers in the publishing industry in Vietnam during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Reference sources for these newspapers were scarce and limited; I had to read almost every issue, categorize them into separate topics, and then synthesize the information. This process was quite time-consuming.

"Participating in scientific research has given me a more multifaceted perspective on my major through interdisciplinary journalism knowledge. Through research, I've cultivated patience, and developed a more logical and rigorous way of thinking and reasoning about issues, both in my studies and in life," Kim Anh said.
As proof of her tireless efforts, the female student from Bac Giang province achieved results beyond expectations, winning First Prize in the School-level Scientific Research Competition, receiving the Dinh Gia Khanh Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Scientific Research, and being one of 11 scientific works representing the School to compete at the Hanoi National University level.

To achieve this accomplishment, the final-year student is always grateful to her family, the faculty in the Department of Literature, and especially her supervising lecturer who accompanied her throughout the process of winning the Student Scientific Research Award.
He became involved in revolutionary activities from an early age.
Having the opportunity to study and train in a dynamic environment, Kim Anh was inspired by the enthusiasm and professionalism of her fellow students in all activities. Through organizing programs within the Student Union, she learned a great deal from her seniors and friends about balancing academics and student union activities, event organization skills, talk show skills, event leadership skills, teamwork, etc.

In addition to serving as Vice President of the Student Union of the Faculty of Literature, Kim Anh also holds the position of Head of the External Relations Committee of the Faculty of Literature Student Union and participates in organizing programs such as: Talkshow "The Ship of Knowledge - Welcome on Board", Talkshow "Future Orientation - JobLit Connect Day", and the 2022 Expanded Training Course for Youth Union and Student Union Officials,...
In particular, the female student was honored to work with famous artists through the Faculty of Literature's annual traditional program - the Faculty of Literature's Extended Drama Night. Student union activities served as a stepping stone for Kim Anh's growth; from a strong-willed girl, from an "impulsive and rebellious" student, this final-year student has learned to balance her emotions in relationships. Thanks to her efforts over nearly four years of study, Kim Anh has achieved outstanding and commendable accomplishments.

Right from her first year, Kim Anh was honored to receive the title of "Outstanding Student" at the university level. According to her, this was her first achievement at university and a source of motivation to continue striving for this title in the following years, not only at the university level but also at higher levels.

During her time in the Student Union of the Faculty of Literature, Kim Anh was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the Faculty's "5 Good Students" movement. To achieve the "5 Good Students" title, students must meet five criteria: Good Morality, Good Academics, Good Physical Fitness, Good Volunteerism, and Good Integration. Each criterion must fully meet the prescribed standards.
“At my school, this title is divided into levels from School level - Hanoi National University level - City level - Central level. The higher the level, the more demanding the requirements and standards for students become. For me, the title of 'Excellent Student' is the most practical proof of the efforts of each student. I believe that, not only for myself but for all students who are passionate about Youth Union and Student Association activities, the title of 'Excellent Student' is the greatest source of encouragement and pride,” Kim Anh confided.

During her nearly four years of study at the university, Kim Anh was honored to achieve the following "Excellent Student" titles: "Excellent Student" at the University level in the 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 academic years; "Excellent Student" at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi level in the 2022-2023 academic year; and "Excellent Student" at the Hanoi City level in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Time management – ​​the key to unlocking opportunities for success.
For Kim Anh, to achieve certain accomplishments at university, she always prioritizes balancing her time between studying and participating in student union activities.
“Besides attending lectures in class, I always proactively ask for study materials from senior students to get a better overall understanding of the course progression and requirements. In everything I do, I maintain the habit of reading a little each day and starting a little bit to achieve quality results instead of putting everything at once until the very end. Additionally, watching films adapted from literary works has also helped me visualize and understand the subject better.” - A final-year female student shared about her study methods.
In the coming years, alongside her work, Kim Anh will continue to hone her skills and learn more about the field of pedagogy. She hopes to bring to students the most beautiful and meaningful things that teachers have taught, to accompany and share with students who have insecurities about their academic abilities, helping them overcome psychological barriers and confidently pursue their own dreams.
Kim Anh wants to send a message to young people: "Overcome the barrier of self-doubt. Dare to dream, dare to act." Even though the journey to realizing your dreams may sometimes make you want to give up, you have the right to cry, you have the right to feel helpless, but absolutely never give up. Step out of your self-doubt, ignore all the prejudices people have about you, and try doing things you've never dared to think of. Perhaps, through doing so, you will discover your strengths and achieve even more in the future.

- Awarded the title of "Excellent Student" at the university level for the academic years 2020-2021 and 2022-2023;
- Awarded the title of "Outstanding Student" at Hanoi National University for the academic year 2022-2023;
- Awarded the title of "Outstanding Student" at the Hanoi city level for the 2022-2023 academic year;
