Sharing about her learning and training process, Cam Ly said that since entering university, she has been fortunate to be involved in the Youth Union and Student Association movements, through which she got to know many seniors and greatly admired the achievements they had made during their activities. Cam Ly began to learn more about the titles and awards and set goals to motivate herself to strive to make a certain mark during her student years.
As a third-year student holding multiple roles in the Student Union, the University, and the Hanoi City Student Association, the female student shared that her biggest challenge was balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and part-time work to achieve the best results. Because of the nature of her major, Journalism, she has to work extensively, especially when starting her specialization. Time at school to keep up with all activities is quite limited, and there were times in the beginning when she thought she couldn't keep going anymore.
Le Nguyen Cam Ly is one of the delegates at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association.
The Vice President of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said: “What made this academic year almost complete for me was receiving the news that I was simultaneously awarded two titles: 'Outstanding Student in 5 Areas' at the central level and the 'January Star' Award 2023, a prestigious award presented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union. I am fortunate to have the constant support of my family, along with my teachers, friends, and fellow members of the Youth Union and Student Union.”
The student union officer achieved a double win: 'Outstanding Student' and 'January Star' Award in 2023.
“Thanks to the encouragement, support, and comfort I received during difficult times, I have gained so much strength to achieve the accomplishments I have today. For me, receiving these two titles is also proof of recognition for my efforts and dedication in all aspects during my more than two years in the Youth Union and Student Association, and especially during the past academic year,” said Le Nguyen Cam Ly.
“And a simple phrase that gives me strength to move forward is when my father says: ‘Thank you! I’m happy and proud of you!’ My parents’ joy is also my joy. I always tell myself to try harder, never to ‘rest on my laurels,’ because there are many challenges and obstacles out there that require me to stay alert and strive my best to overcome.”
