On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, representatives of Oesol Foundation and SJ Tech Vietnam Company met and awarded scholarships to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
Accordingly, the SJ Tech Oesol 2024 scholarship was awarded to 09 students majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, each scholarship is worth more than 06 million VND/student. The students receiving the scholarship include 03 students with excellent academic achievements, 03 students with difficult circumstances who strive to improve their studies, 03 students who are class officers with good academic achievements and actively participate in activities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, spoke at the scholarship award ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, shared that VNU-USSH is proud to be the first university in Vietnam to not only train but also research Korean language and culture.
Every year, the Korean Studies Department, under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, trains 60 students; the school's lecturers study and research at many major universities in Korea and continue to convey to students their passion for learning and researching the language, culture, and history of the "Land of Kimchi". VNU-USSH scientists have participated in many research activities on Korea, publishing research publications on the culture and history of the neighboring country.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also a training unit that receives many scholarships for students from Korean organizations and businesses, such as: KF - Samsung Fund, Lotte Scholarship,... and welcomes many high-ranking Korean leaders to visit.

Hoang Do Thao Nhi - student of QH-2021-X course, an excellent student of the Korean Studies Department, was honored to receive the SJ Tech Oesol 2024 scholarship, sharing her deep gratitude to the school, the Oesol Foundation and SJ Tech Vietnam Company. Thao Nhi said that the SJ Tech Oesol scholarship not only provides financial support but is also a great spiritual gift, motivating students on their path of studying and realizing their dreams.

Oesol Foundation and SJ Tech Vietnam Company have had effective cooperation activities with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in recent years. The Foundation has awarded many scholarships to students majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies in the past two years to help them have more conditions to study and pursue their passion for researching Korean culture and language.
Previously, in April 2024, during a working session with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, representatives of the Oesol Foundation and SJ Tech Company expressed their desire to continue signing with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to provide more scholarships for VNU-USSH students. Accordingly, in 2024 - 2025, the Foundation will award 72 scholarships to Korean Studies students with excellent academic achievements, students who overcome difficulties, and students with outstanding Union - Association activities with a total amount of 24 million won (equivalent to nearly 430 million VND).
