11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- Develop a theoretical framework for regional integration encompassing various aspects: actors, methods, driving forces, content, and levels. Simultaneously, identify the conditions and practical foundations that led to the establishment of MERCOSUR.
- Analyzing the content, impact, and explanations of issues related to regional integration within the MERCOSUR bloc: institutionalization of integration, intra-bloc economic integration, external economic and trade relations, and other integration issues;
- This study assesses the trends in regional integration within the MERCOSUR bloc, provides some comparisons, and draws lessons learned for Vietnam and ASEAN.
12. Practical applications:
- This dissertation can serve as a reference for research or teaching on Latin America, regional integration in general, and the MERCOSUR organization in particular.
- The thesis could also serve as a reference document for policymakers in Vietnam in particular and ASEAN in general on issues of regional integration;
- Finally, and equally importantly, the completed thesis will contribute to a more comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of issues related to regional integration, particularly for developing countries today.

- Assesing the trend of MERCOSUR's integration, making a comparition between MERCOSUR and ASEAN and suggesting some experience lessons from the case of MERCOSUR.
