First of all, this is the first project in Vietnam to study the topic of American cultural diplomacy in the period 2001-2016. The work is expected to contribute a new perspective and documentary system on how the United States uses and implements cultural instruments to realize the goal of improving the image of the United States. This is particularly important in the context of the current struggle for influence and interest with cultural tools among regional powers in the post-Cold War era.
