10. Summary of the thesis results:
The thesis has yielded the following main results:
The thesis has systematized the theoretical basis of the tourism supply chain, and based on that, has applied it to build a tourism supply chain to contribute to the development of community tourism in this commune.
The key components in the supply chain for developing community tourism in Ba Vi have been analyzed and evaluated, specifically:
ButTourism resources:Ba Vi possesses favorable natural conditions and rich cultural resources for community-based tourism. However, the exploitation of these resources has not received sufficient attention from either the local people or the local government.
ButShipping services:Although it is a mountainous commune, Ba Vi is located not far from the capital Hanoi (over 60km), so tourists from all over the country can easily access it by road, rail, water, and air. The system of concrete roads connecting the villages facilitates easy travel for tourists. However, there is no direct public transport from Hanoi to the commune.
ButAccommodation services:The traditional houses of the Dao people could be utilized to provide accommodation for tourists. However, to date, none of the houses in the entire commune meet the standards for guest accommodation.
ButAdditional services:Although in many places, the Dao people's herbal bath is a very attractive tourist product, this service has not yet been developed in Ba Vi commune. In addition, the Dao people of Ba Vi have many valuable traditional herbal remedies, but these are only sold in the usual way, not yet developed into a tourism product.
ButCommunity capacity:Sociological surveys conducted through direct interviews and questionnaires reveal that while most people aspire to participate in tourism development, they are hesitant due to uncertainty about where to begin, lack of knowledge, and insufficient capital for investment.
ButCombining local communities with travel businesses:On the travel business side, all 10 businesses that participated in the in-depth interview expressed their willingness to cooperate with the community in Ba Vi commune to develop tourism. These businesses are ready to collaborate with the commune to create unique tourism products and organize promotional activities to attract tourists.
Based on the research findings, this thesis offers policy suggestions for building a community-based tourism supply chain to contribute to tourism development, create momentum for economic restructuring, and help alleviate poverty in this mountainous ethnic minority commune of Hanoi.

-An analysis of key components of the supply chain has been carried out to develop community tourism in Ba Vi.
-Tourism resources: Ba Vi has favorable natural conditions and rich cultural conditions for community-based tourism development. However, the exploitation of those resources has not received much attention from both local people and local authorities.
- Transportation service: Although it is upland commune but not far from Hanoi capital (over 60km), tourists from all over the country can easily access Ba Vi commune by all kind of means of transport. The system of roads is concretized to connect the villages, making it easy for tourists to travel. However, there is no direct public bus line from Hanoi to the commune.

- Supplementary services: Although in many other places in Vietnam, Authentic Dao herbal baths is an attractive tourism product, but in Ba Vi commune this service has not formed. Besides, the Bavi people have many traditional herbal remedies, but is only sold in a normal way, not as a tourism product.
- Capacity of the community: Through social surveys by IDI and questionnaire, it can be seen that although most people have the desire to develop tourism, but they are still confused how to start, because of lack of knowledge, lack of capital to invest etc.
