Summary of thesis results: This thesis is the result of research on students' perceptions of premarital sex (research conducted at two universities: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences). The research results assessed the level of awareness and understanding of students regarding reproductive health knowledge, methods of preventing premarital sex, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles and awareness among students in relationships. 10.1. Students' perceptions of premarital sex. 54.1% of students believe that premarital sex is an expression of physical and emotional attraction. 33.1% of students chose the option that premarital sex is simply the satisfaction of a natural need. The remaining students chose the opinion that premarital sex is just a way to have children or were unaware. 10.2. Students' awareness of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV-AIDS, the relationship between love and premarital sex, and the characteristics of students who engage in premarital sex. - Research shows that students have awareness and understanding of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV. However, overall, their understanding is limited or nonexistent. - Nearly 50% of students agree with the notion that sexual relations occur when in love. This is a risk factor leading to premarital sex. Some students believe that love and sex are not linked. This awareness reflects different attitudes and behavioral choices among students regarding premarital sex. - The characteristics of male and female students who engage in premarital sex differ. A prominent characteristic in men is a carefree and promiscuous lifestyle, while in women it is gullibility. 10.3. Students' awareness of the reality of premarital sex. - The most common location for premarital sex among students is motels and hotels (82.1%). Other locations include: friends' residences, boyfriends'/girlfriends' residences, cafes, and nightclubs. - Regarding the need for premarital sex, 65.2% of students stated it was to satisfy their sexual needs. Thus, students believe premarital sex is driven by physiological needs. The circumstances leading to premarital sex among students are primarily due to demands from the other party (71.5%). 10.4. Students' perceptions of the causes of premarital sex. The most common subjective and objective causes leading to premarital sex are: exposure to pornographic materials, films, books, and magazines; new trends of the times; and a lack of foresight regarding the consequences of premarital sex… 10.5. Emotional Attitudes After Premarital Sex. - In general, students have an unaccepting attitude towards premarital sex, both with friends and partners. - After premarital sex, various emotional reactions are observed. Feelings such as guilt, shame, and hurt are considered the most common. Other emotions include: discomfort, irritability, excitement, loss of composure, sadness, etc. - If premarital sex results in pregnancy, most students believe they will keep the child and raise it. Students who choose abortion also show hesitation and deliberation in making the decision. - Students also express approval of premarital sex if it is safe sex, sex before engagement, or premarital sex if the partner is male. Thus, these are the conditions under which students accept premarital sex. 10.6. Premarital sexual behavior. The highest rate of premarital sexual activity among students is in their second year. The rates are equal in the third and fourth years, with the lowest in the first year. The partners in premarital sexual relationships are typically romantic partners. Students engaging in premarital sex have some understanding of contraception and preventing sexually transmitted diseases. Some students are inattentive to contraception or assume their partners will take care of it. 10.7. The relationship between different aspects of students' perceptions of premarital sex. The research results on the relationship between different aspects of students' perceptions of premarital sex have helped to more accurately assess students' awareness of premarital sex. The correlation between an unacceptable attitude towards premarital sex and the perception of the consequences of premarital sex leading to pregnancy is evident. Correlation between awareness of the consequences of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and attitudes toward premarital sex. Correlation between attitudes toward premarital sex and circumstances that pose a risk of premarital sex; correlation between attitudes toward premarital sex and students' viewing of pornography. 11. Practical application: This document serves as a resource for research on premarital sex among students. 12. Further research directions: None. 13. Published works related to the thesis: None.
