Kinship words constitute a special vocabulary within each language. The structural and semantic characteristics of this word class not only reflect many linguistic, cultural, and communicative features of each language but also, to some extent, the cultural depth of the nation that owns that language. Language, as both a component of culture and a means of expressing culture, reflects the cultural values, ways of thinking, and worldview of a nation. Kinship words in each language, moreover, reflect a part of the culturally appropriate behavior of each nation. Analyzing and comparing this word class between two languages ​​will help to gain a deeper understanding of the differences between cultures. Because of these theoretical and practical implications, we have chosen the topic "Analysis and Comparison of Kinship Words in Korean and Vietnamese from a Linguistic and Cultural Perspective." This study focuses on analyzing and comparing Korean and Vietnamese kinship terms in terms of structure, semantics, and culture. The research employs several methods: Component analysis is used to analyze the structure of kinship terms, which are the subject of study. Semantic analysis is used to analyze and generalize the meaning and cultural-communicative value of these terms. Comparative analysis is used to compare the characteristics of these terms in the two languages ​​across structural, semantic, and cultural dimensions. Besides the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into three chapters: Chapter I: Theoretical Basis; Chapter II: Analysis and Comparison of the Structure of Korean and Vietnamese Kinship Terms; Chapter III: Analysis and Comparison of the Semantics of Korean and Vietnamese Kinship Terms from a Linguistic and Cultural Perspective. This research aims to identify similarities and differences in structure, semantics, and culture between kinship terms in Korean and Vietnamese to aid in the teaching and learning of Korean, and to find the shortest path to understanding the culturally appropriate thinking, expression, and behavior of native speakers. Furthermore, the research also aims to lay the groundwork for future studies.

Kinship word group is a special lexical part in each language. Characteristics of structure, meaning of this word group not only express linguistic, cultural, communicative characteristics of each language but also express the cultural depth of that language. Linguistic, as a part of culture, is means of cultural expression, as well as is a reflection of cultural values, ways of thinking and humanity concepts of one nation. Class word of kinship in each language, also reflects a part of good behavior concept. The analysis - comparison of this class word between two languages ​​will help us know deeply about the differences among other cultures. Because of the above theoretical and practical meanings, we choose this topic “The analysis - comparative kinship word group of Korean-Vietnamese in a view of language and culture”. The research focuses on analyzing, comparing kinship class words between Korean and Vietnamese about structure, meaning and culture. The research uses some of the following methods: Method of elements analysis is used to analyze the structure of kinship word class. Method of semantic analysis is used to analyze and generalize the meaning and communicative, cultural values. Comparative method is used to compare the characteristics of structural meaning and culture. Beside the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into 3 chapters: Chapter 1: Theoretical basis Chapter 2: The analysis and comparison of kinship word Korean – Vietnamese. Chapter 3: The analysis and comparison of kinship words between Korean and Vietnamese in view of language and culture. The research aims to find out the similarities and differences of structure, meaning and culture between kinship class word in Korean and Vietnamese, in order to help the teaching and studying of Korean, find out the shortest way to approach the ways of thinking, expressing, behavior of native people, Moreover, the research also aims to make the premise, base, for the later researches.
