In his opening remarks, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his deep gratitude for the valuable support and companionship of the NAFOSTED Foundation to the university's scientists in their scientific research, publication, and dissemination activities. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan further shared: Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is training and researching in all social sciences and humanities disciplines, with a team of over 400 scientific staff holding PhDs or higher, including many leading professors participating in and leading numerous state-level, ministerial, and local-level projects. However, the number of projects already underway has not yet fully exploited the potential and available resources of the university. Therefore, we hope that the NAFOSTED Foundation will continue to support scientists so that they can access diverse financial resources to expand scientific research activities, serving the development strategy of the social sciences and humanities not only in Vietnam but also reaching regional and global levels.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan delivered the opening speech at the conference.
Sharing his views at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Ngoc Chien (Director of the National Science and Technology Development Fund) highly appreciated the research achievements and contributions of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, recognizing its leading position in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The Director of the NAFOSTED Fund further shared: Currently, with the promulgation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 193/2025/QH15, it can be said that there has been a breakthrough in the policy mechanism for science and technology development. Many inherent bottlenecks and obstacles have been removed, creating conditions for scientists to confidently conduct research and innovation. In addition, the investment fund for basic science and social sciences and humanities has been expanded, the registration and approval procedures for projects have been shortened, and the payment and settlement procedures have been streamlined, while granting greater autonomy and responsibility to the units leading the projects. In the funding approval process for research projects, a certain amount of money is also allocated to support training (master's and doctoral students), improve journal quality, communication, and disseminate new knowledge and research results.
These fundamental new features will create conditions and encourage scientists to freely create and propose research ideas, without limitations on quantity, especially those that are groundbreaking and anticipate the development trends of the country and the world.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Ngoc Chien, Director of the National Science and Technology Development Fund, shared this at the conference.
During the meeting, representatives from the training units and functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities openly exchanged views and shared concerns and difficulties encountered during the registration and implementation of research projects.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector, in charge of scientific affairs and external relations) expressed her delight at hearing the Foundation's representatives share much useful information; the Foundation's strategy and development direction in the coming years have motivated the scientists. Given the unique nature of research in the social sciences and humanities, where the output is not only publications but also valuable policy advice for ministries, departments, and localities, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong hoped that the Foundation would pay attention to this criterion during the project review process. In addition, the scientists hoped that the Foundation could organize more forums, workshops, and networking events with organizations and businesses, so that scientists could have the opportunity to access more support and simultaneously apply research results, bringing science into practical life.

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong delivered a speech at the conference.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh (Head of the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies) shared at the conference.
Dr. Nguyen Van Anh (Head of the History Department) shared at the conference.
Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Thi Linh (Head of the Psychology Department) shared at the conference.
Dr. Trinh Van Dinh (Head of the Science, External Relations and Journals Department) shared at the conference.
Sharing the specific difficulties encountered in implementing research projects in the field of social sciences and humanities, representatives from the National Science and Technology Development Fund pledged to accompany, support, and create favorable conditions for scientists at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to best carry out their research projects, bringing practical value to the community and contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
The Director of the Fund, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Ngoc Chien, also conveyed the message: Currently, investment resources for science and technology are abundant, the mechanism is relatively open, and there are no limits on the number of research projects. Therefore, scientists of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities should boldly propose new ideas and research directions that are interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary, contributing to solving practical problems and affirming the role of social sciences and humanities in the construction and development of the country in the context of globalization and digital transformation.
Concluding the exchange, on behalf of the leadership and scientists of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan once again expressed his gratitude and hope that the National Science and Technology Development Fund would continue to support and accompany the University's scientific research activities. The University's leadership committed to creating the best possible conditions for scientists to complete their research projects on schedule and with the highest scientific quality.
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the University's leadership, presented the National Science and Technology Development Fund with a number of outstanding scientific publications by leading scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
