September school-wide meeting: effectively exploiting resources to expand learning, research and creative space for staff, lecturers and students

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities for successfully organizing the Opening Ceremony of the new school year 2022-2023 in a joyful and exciting manner. In the atmosphere of the whole country going back to school, in September, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also started a new school year with new spirit, new opportunities, and new victories.

MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy (Head of Administration - General Department) presented a summary report on August's work in all aspects: Party, organization and union work; training work: regular university admission, second round of postgraduate admission registration, first round of National Defense and Security education for more than 1,200 students; quality assurance work: completing self-assessment reports of some training programs, preparing external assessment documents for some training programs, etc.; scientific research work, facilities and finance: completing the set plan, speeding up the repair items, completing in time in September to welcome students back to school after summer vacation, etc. Some key tasks in September: holding congresses of party cells for the 2022-2025 term, perfecting the leadership and management personnel of faculties/departments in the school; Complete the 2022 regular university enrollment, welcome first-year students and open the new school year 2022-2023; organize international scientific conferences for young staff and graduate students, complete the system of documents on scientific research, continue to sign cooperation documents with domestic and foreign universities; basically complete the repair and upgrade of facilities;...
 

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong shared and noted some more information about the field of training and quality assessment: The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Television is preparing to launch a website to teach Vietnamese to foreigners, celebrate September 8 as Vietnamese Language Honor Day, build a number of new training majors; September 15 must complete the work of enrolling full-time university students in 2022, so teachers in faculties/departments continue to communicate about the majors so that the enrollment work achieves quantity and quality.
 

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong noted a number of key tasks in training, quality control, and communication that need to be focused on in September.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong emphasized: the 2022-2023 school year will be a year that closely combines training with scientific research and international publication, not only supporting the school's staff and graduate students to perfect training processes and standardize titles, but also finding high-quality topics and projects to invest in according to the philosophy of "cultivating high", increasing the international publication index of the whole school. In the coming time, the school will soon issue regulations related to scientific research: establishing an Ethics Council, new regulations on student scientific research. Regarding cooperation and development: in September, promote the signing of cooperation documents, enterprises in Hanoi and other provinces.

Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh said that in September, the construction and deployment of a One-Stop Software system will be completed to support staff and students, reducing the administrative procedures that must be submitted directly, and switching to online forms to save costs and travel time while improving the efficiency of administrative procedures. In September, the goal is to basically complete the repair and upgrade of the wifi system to best serve the teaching and learning of lecturers and students.
Delegates representing leaders of departments and affiliated units exchanged and discussed openly and made a number of proposals to effectively carry out tasks in September as well as the following months of the new school year, demonstrating a high consensus and determination in successfully carrying out tasks for the 2022-2023 school year.

Based on listening to the discussions of representatives of the units, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan concluded some key tasks in September:

- Based on closely following the planning goals set out in the 2021-2023 school year summary conference and the overall school plan, faculties/departments will promptly develop, adjust and complete the 2022-2023 school year program accordingly.

- Unit leaders pay attention to rectifying administrative work, ensuring regulations on working hours of staff, especially for administrative staff.

- Assign the Department of Cooperation and Development as the focal point, relevant units coordinate to review, develop mechanisms, propose ways to implement support in procedures, management, and professional arrangement to facilitate international scholars and experts in teaching, research, support staff, promote cooperation in training and scientific research; improve foreign language skills for staff, lecturers, and students.

- The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will be given priority to develop a creative space for Social Sciences and Humanities in Hoa Lac, emphasizing Archaeology - Creative Culture - Digital Media - Modern Art - Vietnamese Language, so related Faculties/Departments need to proactively build and propose programs and projects in which they have strengths, keeping up with the trend.

- Focus on completing regular university enrollment in 2022 and the second round of graduate enrollment.

- The Administration Department - synthesizes and urges, speeds up the completion of repair items to ensure that when welcoming students back after summer vacation, the campus is spacious, clean and convenient, especially the self-study space for students, ensuring the wifi system works well.
