Gratitude and honor for those in the teaching profession - the noblest of all noble professions

Joining the celebration with the teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan (Deputy Head of Training Department, VNU); Colonel Duong Van Chien (Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education); former leaders of the school; all teachers in the current Board of Directors, Party Committee members, leaders of units, and all teachers, staff and civil servants currently working at the school.

The celebration was delighted to welcome: Prof. Phung Huu Phu (Chairman of the Policy Advisory Council - Former first Principal of the School), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Chairman of the Science and Technology Council, Former Principal of the School); Prof. Vu Duong Ninh (Honorary Chairman of the School's Former Teachers Association)

On behalf of the School's Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal) sent his sincere gratitude and congratulations to the generations of teachers who have been and are working at the School on this important holiday. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan was also pleased to share the results the School has achieved in the past school year in all areas: training, scientific research, quality assurance and community service; at the same time, he analyzed the opportunities and challenges in the new situation. On that basis, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan hopes that the staff and civil servants of the whole school will unite, focus, join hands and wholeheartedly develop the School according to the motto "Humanity is the foundation - Modernity is the trend”.

Speaking at the Anniversary Ceremony, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized, "Only when we dare to embark on the path of innovation and integration, can we welcome the dawn of Humanity on the backdrop of a very new and very different university education system!"

On behalf of the veteran teachers, Associate Professor Lam Ba Nam (Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers) was moved to express his joy at the achievements of the school in the past school year, and at the same time expressed his confidence in the sharp thinking, dynamism, and daring to innovate of the School's Board of Directors; the determination and consensus of the staff, lecturers, and students; the support of managers, scientists, partners, etc., the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will certainly achieve more achievements. "We, the former teachers, are always ready to support and participate in any activities of the School if our health allows" - Associate Professor Lam Ba Nam affirmed.

During the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day this year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received much good news: many groups and individuals of the University were honored to receive emulation titles and rewards from the State and the Ministry of Education and Training.

- The Faculty of Sociology is honored to be one of the three groups with outstanding achievements in the 2020-2021 school year, leading the emulation clusters of VNU to be awarded the Government's Emulation Flag.

- 05 units and 03 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for successfully completing their tasks for two consecutive years from the 2019-2020 school year to the 2020-2021 school year: Faculty of Tourism Studies; Faculty of Philosophy; Faculty of Sociology; Department of Modern and Contemporary Vietnamese History (Faculty of History); Department of History of Philosophy (Faculty of Philosophy); Associate Professor Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal of the School); Associate Professor Trinh Van Tung (former Head of the Faculty of Sociology); Professor Hoang Ba Thinh (Head of the Department of Gender and Family Sociology, Faculty of Sociology).

- Teacher Nguyen Van Chinh (Faculty of Anthropology) was recognized as qualified for the title of Professor and Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang (Faculty of Literature) was recognized as qualified for the title of Associate Professor.

- 05 teachers of the School who have excellent achievements in teaching and scientific research received gifts from the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund (Dr. Mai Linh, Dr. Pham Le Huy, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam, Dr. Dang Thi Phuong Anh, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu).

The Anniversary Ceremony took place in a solemn, exciting and joyful atmosphere!
