The conference was honored to welcome Major General Le Nhu Duc (Standing member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chairman of the Hanoi Veterans Association); Major General Nguyen Manh Su (Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Veterans Association); Colonel Pham Ho Quang (Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department, Hanoi Veterans Association). On the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the University); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai (former Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term V, 2017-2022). Also attending the conference were leaders of 16 units of the Veterans Association of universities and colleges in Hanoi and the Executive Committee of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Cong Nhat (Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Head of Emulation Cluster No. 7 in 2022) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Nhat Trinh (Chairman of the Veterans Association of Hanoi University of Science and Technology) co-chaired the Conference.

The conference listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Cong Nhat present the Summary Report on the emulation work of Block 487 in 2022. It emphasized that although in 2022, the activities of the Association of War Veterans faced many difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic, the number of members decreased sharply. However, with the efforts and high sense of responsibility of the comrades in the Executive Committee of the Association, the enthusiastic participation of the members, the activities of the Association of War Veterans of the Block have achieved many remarkable achievements: all war veterans actively participated in activities related to their expertise (teaching, scientific research), participated in mass work, coordinated mass work to contribute to improving the effectiveness of social security work, gratitude activities; participated and always took the lead in local movements: supporting natural disaster prevention; disease prevention, especially participating in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic...). The image of war veterans always present at the hot spots of the Covid-19 epidemic is a common image during the days when the pandemic is tense. Regarding the work of building a strong Association organization: by the end of the third quarter of 2022, the units in the bloc have basically completed the work of the 6th Congress, elected a new Executive Committee for the 2022-2027 term; organized many thematic activities contributing to the summary and amendment of the Charter of the Vietnam War Veterans Association, organized emulation activities towards the 7th Vietnam War Veterans Congress.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Cong Nhat (Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Head of Emulation Cluster No. 7 in 2022) presented the Emulation Summary Report for 2022 and Orientation for 2023
With that achievement, the Association of War Veterans of Block 487 of Universities and Colleges in Hanoi received: 01 emulation flag of the Central Association of War Veterans of Vietnam, 5 certificates of merit of the Central Association of War Veterans of Vietnam and 11 certificates of merit of the Hanoi City Association of War Veterans, 01 certificate of merit of the Party Committee at the school level for a unit of the Association of War Veterans of the block (Association of War Veterans of National Economics University). Regarding individuals: 7 certificates of merit of the Central Association of War Veterans of Vietnam and 15 certificates of merit of the Hanoi City Association of War Veterans, 12 certificates of merit at the school level...
Based on the achieved results, the Report also identifies specific targets for the activities of the Association of War Veterans of universities and colleges in block 487 of the Hanoi City Association of War Veterans in 2023. The targets were highly agreed upon by the entire Conference.
Delegates attending the Conference expressed high consensus and agreement with the targets set out in the Report.
Speaking at the Conference, Major General Le Nhu Duc (Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chairman of the Hanoi City Veterans Association) congratulated and acknowledged the emulation results of the Veterans Association of Universities and Colleges under Block 487 and emphasized: Promoting the spirit and bravery of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the veterans fought bravely and courageously on the battlefield; when returning to normal life, the veterans still uphold the sense of responsibility to the community and society, actively participating in all activities: professional, union work, volunteer activities, and gratitude. Despite many difficulties, the Veterans Associations of the schools still try to diversify the forms of activities, encourage the participation of veterans in the units, create exchanges and connections between the Veterans Associations of the schools. Major General Le Nhu Duc sent his thanks to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as well as the universities and colleges in Block 487 for always caring, encouraging and supporting the activities of the Veterans Association.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) congratulated and thanked the contribution of the Veterans Association of Block 487 of the Hanoi City Veterans Association to the activities of universities and colleges in general and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular.
The conference also elected the 2023 cluster leader and deputy cluster leader, honored leading units and proposed superiors to reward them in 2022.
Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Dong (Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of the National Economics University) was elected by the Conference as head of the emulation cluster of block 487 of universities and colleges in 2023.
