The Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully organized the Conference summarizing trade union activities for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Attending the Conference were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of the Trade Union of Hanoi National University, President of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences), representatives from the leadership of the Faculties/Departments, and more than 100 delegates representing trade union members from the departmental trade union organizations.
On behalf of the Trade Union Executive Committee, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (President of the School's Trade Union) presented the report on the results of the trade union's activities in the 2021-2022 academic year. The report clearly stated that the Trade Union's activities in the 2021-2022 academic year faced many advantages but also numerous difficulties, especially the tense situation of the pandemic. However, with the support of the Board of Directors, the efforts of the Trade Union Executive Committee, and the unity and consensus of all union members, the school's Trade Union achieved many successes: caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of staff and workers in the School; ensuring policies and benefits for union members; and encouraging union members to actively and proactively participate in social, charitable, and gratitude-related activities. Regarding professional work: The trade union has encouraged and facilitated its members to excel in teaching and scientific research, and to improve their skills through organizing numerous seminars and professional training courses; actively innovating activities in a creative and effective manner.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, the Trade Union Executive Committee identified several key tasks: taking good care of the spiritual and material well-being of union members; encouraging and supporting staff and lecturers to improve their professional skills; innovating the forms of activities of the trade union organization; strengthening exchanges between departmental trade unions;… In their presentations, delegates from various departmental trade unions emphasized key factors ensuring the success of activities: the support and attention of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi National University Trade Union, and the university's trade union; the sense of responsibility and dedication of the members of the Faculty Trade Union Executive Committees; and the solidarity and enthusiastic participation of all union members. In addition, delegates at the conference also proposed numerous solutions to ensure that trade union activities are conducted effectively and practically.     Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi) spoke at the Conference, acknowledging and highly appreciating the contributions of the University's Trade Union to the overall movement of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The Trade Union of the Faculty of Humanities is a leading unit within Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with many unique activities closely linked to the professional work of its staff and lecturers, thus always attracting widespread support and participation from its members. Regarding the proposals from the Trade Union to the higher-level Trade Union, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union will consider, research, and make appropriate adjustments to provide maximum support for the activities of the university's trade union organizations, making them more in-depth and practical. As the President of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien hopes that in the future, many joint activities between the two trade unions will be implemented, leveraging the strengths of each unit while strengthening the traditional cooperative relationship between the two universities. On behalf of the Party Committee and the School Board, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the School's Trade Union on its remarkable achievements in the past academic year. Despite facing numerous challenges, particularly the intense and complex Covid-19 pandemic which significantly impacted all aspects of the union's activities, the enthusiasm and dedication of the Executive Committee members, along with the support and solidarity of all union members, ensured that all union activities met their targets. In particular, specific activities (such as ensuring all staff, lecturers, and former teachers received Covid-19 vaccinations correctly, completely, and safely; providing attentive, thorough, and timely support, advice, and care to staff members infected with Covid-19, etc.) demonstrated a highly humane, compassionate, thoughtful, proactive, professional, creative, and practical spirit in the union's work. The Party Committee and the school's Board of Directors will always stand alongside, support, and assist the Trade Union's activities in the future. At the Conference, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union awarded certificates of merit and commendations from the Vietnam Education Trade Union, the Vietnam National University Hanoi Trade Union, and the University Trade Union to collectives and individuals who had made outstanding contributions to the activities of the Trade Union in the 2021-2022 academic year.
