The Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully organized a conference to summarize trade union activities for the 2021-2022 school year.

Attending the Conference were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of the Trade Union of Hanoi National University, President of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences), representatives of the leadership of the Faculties/Departments and more than 100 delegates representing union members of the departmental trade union organizations.
On behalf of the Trade Union Executive Committee, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (President of the School Trade Union) presented a Report on the results of the Union's activities in the 2021-2022 school year. It clearly stated that the Union's activities in the 2021-2022 school year had many advantages but also encountered many difficulties, especially the tense epidemic situation. However, with the support of the Board of Directors, the efforts of the Trade Union Executive Committee and the solidarity and consensus of all union members, the School Trade Union's activities achieved many successes: taking care of the lives and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of civil servants and employees in the School; Policies and regimes for union members are always guaranteed; The School Trade Union has encouraged union members to actively and proactively participate in social activities, charity, and gratitude. Regarding professional work: The Union has encouraged and created conditions for union members to do well in teaching and scientific research, and to study to improve their qualifications through organizing many seminars and professional training courses; actively innovating activities towards creativity and efficiency.
In the 2022-2023 school year, the Trade Union Executive Committee identified a number of key tasks: taking good care of the spiritual and material life of union members; encouraging and supporting cadres and lecturers to improve their expertise; innovating forms of union organization activities; enhancing exchanges between departmental unions;... In the sharing of delegates from the departmental unions, they all emphasized the factors to ensure the activities: the support and attention of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi National University Trade Union, and the University Trade Union; the sense of responsibility and dedication of the comrades in the Executive Committee of the Faculty Trade Union; the solidarity and enthusiastic participation of all union members. In addition, the delegates attending the conference also proposed many solutions to ensure that union activities are carried out effectively and practically.     Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of VNU Trade Union) spoke at the Conference, acknowledging and appreciating the contributions of the University Trade Union to the general movement of VNU. The University Trade Union is a leading unit in the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with many specific activities closely related to the expertise of staff and lecturers, so it always attracts the support and participation of many union members. With the previous proposals of the Union to the higher-level Union, the Executive Committee of VNU Trade Union will absorb, research and make appropriate adjustments to provide maximum support for the activities of the university trade union organizations to become more in-depth and practical. As President of the University of Science Trade Union, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien hopes that in the coming time, there will be many joint activities between the two Unions of the two universities, both promoting the strengths of each unit and strengthening the traditional cooperative relationship between the two universities. On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the school, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the school's Trade Union on its remarkable achievements in the past school year. Although the trade union activities faced many difficulties, especially the tense and complicated developments of the Covid pandemic, which greatly affected all aspects, with the enthusiasm and passion of the officials in the Trade Union Executive Committee, the support and solidarity of all union members, all activities of the Trade Union completed the set plan. In particular, through a number of specific activities (support for all officials, lecturers, and former teachers of the school to be vaccinated against Covid correctly, sufficiently and safely; support, advice and care for officials infected with Covid, etc.) showed a very humane, meaningful, thoughtful, but also very proactive, professional, creative, and practical spirit of trade union activities. The Party Committee and the School Board of Directors will always accompany, support and assist the Union's activities in the coming time. At the Conference, the Trade Union Executive Committee awarded certificates of merit from the Vietnam Education Trade Union, the VNU Trade Union and the School Trade Union to collectives and individuals who made outstanding contributions to the Trade Union's activities in the 2021-2022 school year.
